All of them are IPS panels. Black level suck dick and you can see ghosting. Can't use overdrive because black trailing being too visible. I'm waiting for cheap OLED ones.
are they good for porn, or should I keep my gearvr/S8 combo?
The absolute state of Jow Forums
Haven't tried them, but it feels like meme technology at this point (like 3D), and probably puts strain on the eyes.
PSVR has OLED and can be used in a PC.
>Don't require cameras all over your room
that's a bad thing, room detection adds a lot of inmersion.
if you can't afford a Vive just keep your gearVR, it's on par with the cheap sets.
Are any of them as clear as the ps4VR headset yet?
>screen door is a small curved globe at the bottom of the screen thats not visible when an image is displayed and everything in shot is in focus.
I've used Vive and was disappointed by how blurry the edges of the screen are, and the grey screen door effect.
>Why haven't you gotten into VR yet?
Because there is literally nothing good for VR. It's a complete joke.
>PSVR has OLED and can be used in a PC.
I had a chance to see how PSVR works, and I'm not impressed. Well, VR effect in general is great, but low resolution makes everything blurry. Contrast and colors are great, but the resolution suck dick. Also making it work on PC requires so much ass fuckery its not worth it.
No use beside some buggy games.
when you go cheap you gotta sacrifice something. If you want a complete experience you should get a vive.
Also, it's not that hard to set it up on PC.

I will have it cheap, just not yet.
I saw Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom in
imax 3D, it was amazing. I regret not seeing Avengers in 3D now. 3D tech has changed A LOT, user.
>gearVR, it's on par with the cheap sets
I find that hard to believe. Sure the S8 has a good screen, but can it beat 1440 x 1440 per eye?
Not enough useful/fun uses yet.
Only a few funny apps and games, so I borrowed one from a friend, played a week end with it, and gave it back.
Maybe it'll be worth it in a few years.
stupid primitive shit that ruins your eyes
call me when get a more direct brain interface so I can just pour myself into a vat and be a brain in a vat
>Require
Requiring anything is never good. It's optional and that's all it should ever be
I have one of these and it's okay I guess. Most of my complaints of VR are about the lack of good games and the porn is hit and miss; I have no idea why the porn industry needs to strap cameras on manlets, I don't wanna be a manlet when I'm pretending to fuck my porn actressfu.
Joled soon
>I have no idea why the porn industry needs to strap cameras on manlets
Because people that need to watch porn to fuck are manlets, usually.
(And a few autistic socially impaired beta)
>I saw Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom in imax 3D
Me too, and 3d felt completely unnecessary. And I had to take off glasses often
>And I had to take off glasses often
that sucks, I guess some people can't handle it. I had zero eye strain through out the movie. I used to have issues when the glasses had green and red tints on them.
I've been playing Steam VR games on a simple cell phone VR headset, an Xperia XZ1C, and a GTX1060. I use iVRy as the streaming app and it works with almost no latency in tethered mode. It's good enough to play racing games.
Playing the original Doom in VR sold me. Holy fuck that is so simple yet adds a whole 'nother dimension to it, making the exploration more immersive and the aiming more practical (as if it wasn't enough already in Doom).
I guess. I will say it is kinda novel seeing the world (porn sets) as a smaller person and the short heights of a lot of actresses is a lot more noticeable. Another thing I've noticed is that the JAVR videos do is that they have the girls slober all over the camera but it gets so close it kinda hurts the eyes because of the way it blocks the two cameras differently. And the pixelated blur is a big immersion breaker.
The only people who don't like VR headsets have never tried one
My sample size of a dozen friends/family agrees with this.
>Where the fuck can I get one
and
>How many thousand dollars does my GPU has to be worth for it to work at all
The VR kiosk in the electronics store was always full or not working
I really hate that all the major hardware vendors drank the wmr koolaid with its gimped tracking, when steamvr already had the best solution. Now HTC gets to price gouge me for the only steam headset one more generation.
Have fun with your cataracts and crosseye at 40 anons.
not optional if you want accuracy.
