Do you guys put your taskbar at the top or bottom?
Do you guys put your taskbar at the top or bottom?
My GNOME™ Shell puts it at the top and changing it would be a sin.
bottom ofc
None.
Top
On the right.
Top and set to autohide is the objectively superior method
Bottom.
Left screen has taskbar at the bottom, right screen has taskbar on the left.
I put my task-bar on your mom's bottom.
left
What the fuck, why do you do this
Right.
yes
Windows machine has it on the right, Linux machines all have it on the top.
Windows on the right because it is really thick even with small icons. Linux has it on the top because browser tabs are also at the top and I like to have all my navigation buttons in roughly the same spot.
Right hand side
Don't test me, it's the best scientifically
Clean that shit up NOW
hidden at the bottom
Bottom because I'm an A+ type of person not some freaking weirdo
Jesus fucking Christ dude, what the fuck
Bottom but i find myself using keyboard shortcuts mostly
Easier access to my shit when stuff is running fullscreen on my main screen (left)
Also to have easy access to the clock.
middle
I don't have a task bar.
Why would you want a task bar, all it does is intrude apon your valuable screen space, while displaying useless information, and proving almost ussless shortcuts.
>Use a drop down terminal (like the quake console) to launch your applications.
>Also use i3 or some other tiling window manager.
Screenshot.
I second that.
Provide screenshot user.
At least he's got all the important bookmarks.
true dat
Bottom of my center (main) monitor. Windows not on that monitor don't go on the taskbar.
On the left side
If your moniter is 16/9, you have way more free horizontal space than vertical. I don't have a taskbar, but if I did, I'd put it on the side.
heres the same setup on a better screen
t-that is c-clean

Is this the new desktop thread?

ooof wrong cap
I have a 1366x768 thinkpad screen so I put it on the right side so I can play windowed games in 720p. Works for me.
Left
>visible taskbar
>ever
plebs
>not using tomorrow
kys basicbitch fuckboy
Had at the top, now don't have one at all.
Windows
I just put it on top last week
I'm still transitioning and fighting with muscle memory because I always had it on the bottom but I can clearly see it's better and more productive to have it on the top. It looks like programs are tabbed and I often catch myself on middle clicking taskbar title and expecting program to close.
top of my 2nd monitor
YOU LITERALLY DONT EVEN NEED A TASKBAR LMAO GET A WM AND CONFIGURE YOUR MENU THEN JUST RUN TOP TO SEE WHATS RUNNING ARE YOU LITERALLY KIDDING ME LOL WHAT KIND OF PEANUT BUTTER AND JELLY SHIT IS THIS I LOVE CELERY
Left
>JUST RUN TOP TO SEE WHATS RUNNING
1. Do you need top to know what you have launched?
2. If you need, at least use rofi
On the right, of course.
Top and bottom is for plebs.
I don't use a task bar.
I have bar on the bottom, which displays the current workspaces time, volume, storage, battery charge and CPU usage, which automatically hides and appears when I press the Windows key on my keyboard, the same button I use to tile and switch workspaces.
Right side because it makes a 16:9 screen look more like a 16:10
sue me
Top after my father
Hell ye
On the rigdt.
Same as my polidical viewbs.
Right side of the left monitor
Bottom because I prefer labeled buttons.
>gif
pic related
>he only has left monitor
Top taskbar master race, hidden application dock at the bottom
Neither. Taskbars are bloat and totally unnecessary.
>Gamer trash calling someone else a pleb
You have to go back, /v/edditor.
Linux fags hatin because they can't comprehend what it's like to run a performance PC.
Bottom with auto-hide. It's the only place where I'm the least likely to trigger it by accident. At the top there's the window border, at the top-right (so right) there's the window controls and there's generally stuff on the left side of many windows too.
Also when I open a menu from the taskbar - like volume control or the calendar - it's less likely to cover up an important part of a window if it's at the bottom.
this
This is the comfiest.
>right screen has taskbar on the left
Wait, what the fuck.
Top
On the left.
left
My taskbar is just like every person that posted above this post: the bottom
works on my machine
