Hey Jow Forums
I just touched down in Tokyo and I have some money to burn. Are there any tech markets that sell vintage tech or cheap chink tech?

Ask Rinus.
If you want a good deal, you buy online.
You can find shit in physical vintage shops, but you'll pay brick and mortar tax. Just like anywhere else in the world.
Why don't you just buy one of those panties from vending machines like everyone else?
Buy some Japanese-exclusive video games and sell them at a profit at home in a few years. I don't know how legal it is in your country.
Imagine just landing in Tokyo and already having to use Jow Forums
Please fucking die
There's nothing here. It's not 1995

Akihabara has some pretty cool little shops if you head a bit off the main roads
Lots of used goods shops around Akihabara. I got a used Canon DSLR câmera from soft map 5 years ago and it still works perfectly along with its battery.
that backpack looks comfy
Buy a PC-98 (or any other vintage nip computer)
It's not Japanese, but you may need to find one.

are there any practical uses for these laptops other than muh aesthetic/muh autistic hobby?
They're for playing 90s games on original hardware and composing OPNA music. Perfectionism or autism depending on how you see it.
this idiot didn't research what to do in tokyo before going and is asking Jow Forums.
why don't you touch down at a gaijin bar and get wasted like the idiot you are. After that, crawl back into your room,
Are japs developing their own processors or they just fell for the intel jew?

user, why is it that vintage IT hardware attracts us so much? I just have an undying fascination with them.
They remind us of a better time when computers and the internet were an extension to our lives rather than being our lives.
that's deep
buy all the vintage sony gear you can get
Just go to Akihabara and piss off all your money on not just tech, but also vintage games and weeb shit.
Like everyone else is saying, go to Akiba. Good ramen shops and pachinko for days.
Get the Kohjinsha DZ laptop there while you can. A dual screen laptop which you won't find in North America.
that thing looks like hot garbage ass from 2006
How's the battery life? Like 1 hour?
With the current battery it come with, around less than 2 hours 30 min with both screen on, wifi on, screen brightness around 70%, on Win 7 OS.
Think Netbook quality laptop with a slight better CPU over atoms with two screen and you got this from Japan. Also, release during the Netbook period so.... nothing crazy then and isn't crazy today.
Talk about yourself, back in the 90's all we did was sit behind our computer, only going out to party with people who did the same. Most money went to computer hardware and software, sitting up at night and enjoying free dial-up, hooking up with girls who knew their shit. Demoscene parties, multiplayer (latter LAN) parties.
