Are memes going to be banned soon?

I know I might sound silly, but I'm wondering if this is just the start?
Do we first ban the memes on social media, then get the masses accustomed to the idea of upload filters?
Then take it up a level and smack down the p2p torrent boys?
What's next on the list?

u dumb as hell boi

Jow Forums have a long history with meme, we are still going to make them.
And honestly, I don't mind getting rid of social media tier memes.
That's said, censor is bad and social media shouldn't ban meme even though they're cancer.

That is my question.
Not the should or not. If they will.
Memes are like shitty art. Never the less art that tries to communicate something.

If memes get a ban on social media, that's a good chunk of the masses being shielded from the messages they try to spread.

Who gives a fuck about memes? The talking about memes is pic related in its purest form.
What actually happens:
The little rest of what is left of democracy is being buried.

>politician(s) make(s) ridiculous statements/bad laws/want(s) to start a war/evil (or good - ha ha) thing
>you want to alarm everybody by linking to news articles about that topic
>you use your own website/kikebook account/social media account/blog/your own way of reaching out to do so
>you want to link to that politicians blog
>you need to cite
>you aren't allowed to cite
>you aren't allowed to give links to citations
>you will actually be sued (up into jail when you cant pay, remember that) if you speak up about whats going on above your head

rest in ripperoni

This.

>the start
Yes, the start of rallying idiots, with pretense of memes, against EU. Botnet multi billion companies are trying to defend their awful anti-consumer practices, but for an average person it's explained that memes are at stake. This is like a reverse communism, where peasants were promised bread, the americanfats are promised freedom of want of memes.

Just who-is any of these websites and check who's behind. It's not about a forum on aquariums and people uploading memes on goldfishes and memo, but about youtube having to SPEND MONEY to protect European IP just like they do with American ones.

lets make porn illegal first, then memes about porn and then we can finally transfer consciousness onto a QSD quantum state drive

u mad?

That picture.. women biting things..

(OP) This is quite the good move here on their end. This way they get to gut a lot of the undesired information flow.

I can only predict we'll see a creeping of these laws onto other organizations where people will flee to (alternative social media websites like gab.ai or minds.com).
Hell, I wonder how long Telegram can last once more people seek something like it for more personal choice.

And to top it off, things are gonna get really spicy and hairy once the whole "blockchain" world crashes onto us.
"oh, websites funded by decentralized money?
oh, websites running on decentralized platforms?
that sure could give us some problems. We better flag them as hate instigators or something"

only the incorrect use of the word.
humans are nothing but genes and memes

wonder what's the backstory behind that stock photo
>hey we're glad you could be here to pose for our stock photos
>for this shot we're gonna need you to bite a laptop
>what
>yes just bite the fucking thing while making an angry face
>just like that, yes perfect

When do we finally get A.I. robo slaves so we can stop pretending we need each other and must learn to co-exist, and just nuke the unpleasant ones?
This is all so tiresome.

I have a couple others if you like them.

downloading films is illegal, yet nothing is realy stoping you
it can only drive away normies, and i don't see how that could be bad
you'll be"pirating memes" and there's nothing stoping you, cuz' a pirate is free

>banning memes

nah man. Torrenting and p2p isn't going to last us long.
Soon enough crypto money and other p2p assets like that will complicate things for the current power establishment enough, that they'll be willing to start gutting p2p protocols.

The excuse will be: "Some crypto and p2p protocols try to facilitate anonymous money that we can't track and thus fund dangerous organizations (potentially).
We need to protect the people and ban it all together, we have no other choice"

Cuz one thing is for sure, if the internet truly remains free and open, as we are told, oh boy will that complicate things when wealth transfers are needed from social class to another.

>Torrenting and p2p isn't going to last us long
that's what they said 15 years ago

Yeah but why I say these things is that now it is not just about movie/games/content pirating. Now it's about money "pirating" if you can call it that.
P2P is starting to influence money. And that's a big thing to fight over.

Yes, We are soon going to have to sell our memes on the blackmarket just to keep everyone fed with new memes.
