Was thinking the same thing when I recently built a ryzen computer. Win 10 is a buggy mess, getting hangs, bad scaling on 4k, "unable to install updates at this time" (wtf it's a fresh install).
Meanwhile, my Gentoo install works flawlessly.

Imo everytime I run Windows on a new PC I always install a fresh build. They always have bloat and crap too. I'd get rid of the default Windows installation and run something like Windows 7 or Windows 10 LTSB.
