Personally, I thought we were being pretty fair. We discovered a set a very critical security vulnerabilities, brought them to the attention of the staff with the single demand that they let us help them fix their shit because they clearly weren't going to do it right themselves. We weren't planning to leak the database at all until they spit in our faces and locked us out and dropped contact and didn't fix the fucking vulnerabilities. We tried using the leaks to force their hand and make them either fix their shit or let us do it, but it seems like they don't even care that some people have the private information of all of their users and are planning to leak it if they don't do something.

Well the jig is up. We were never going to actually leak any of the sensitive user data, we just didn't expect the S staff to care so little that we'd ever get to this point. We don't want the site to shut down and we don't want anyone fearing that their crazy government is coming after them for porn.

It's shit by the way. md5/sha1 password hashing, tools that give read access to the entire filesystem if you abuse them slightly, etc.

I figured since they were so scared of the government, threatening to leak the database would be enough to corral them into handling their security issues in a timely manner. But they firmly insisted on running around like chickens with their heads cut off and not actually get anything done, so here I am with a limp dick and nothing to do with it

Yes. GGn you can rank up to the equivalent of PU (and thus get the invite forums) without uploading anything or interacting with the community. If you take the seedtime path on AHD, you can reach their equivalent of TM without having to make uploads, just seed alot and for a long time. Of course, TM is not needed to get into BTN, just the equivalent of PU (again, no uploads needed) and 3 months on the site.

Transmission. rtorrent is not worth the trouble for most people and aria2 is not a real torrent client and not whitelisted.
