Hi r/Jow Forums!

I've never used displayport, because they never include a cable with monitors, and thunderbolt.

i used to use the expresscard port

XD

ebik

not gonna lie open bread and I keked hard when I zahhh thissssss

This.
On my desktop, I had to buy a DP to HDMI adapter to get my second monitor working.

my exact reaction with filename

Audio jacks
>Use USB headset at computer
>Use bluetooth headphones with phone
It's been kind of funny watching people have existential meltdowns as phones remove them.

so you used the port?

I used it before.

>using lagtooth

I'm not competitive gaymen on my phone so why should I care?

>watch youtube on the bus
>audio is hundreds of ms off

>Offsets in newpipe
I don't notice it anyway so werks on my machine.

You're doing it wrong then.
>Turn on bluetooth capable video
>Your OS stops the video from playing for 10ths of a second to fill up shit bluetooth buffers every time it stutters

I just never got the point of removing it. You don't gain anything extra in return. Like, I have two really nice pairs of headphones and I can use them on my phone, computer, piano, switch, and tablet all with a single jack and no adapters. Plus I never have to charge them, and all the aforementioned devices other than my piano have bluetooth as well so it's not like I have fewer options.

sneed

Razer claimed they would've had to shrink the battery significantly with it. I've also never really gotten the "you have to charge it" argument since you effectively have to always charge wired headphones. Any decent headphones will allow you to either use an analogue input as well or use USB to charge and provide data, unless they're IEMs which obviously can't fit that in the form factor.

eSATA is pretty useless now with USB3 but what the fuck were you people connecting external disks to pre-2010? Don't tell me you were using the inferior USB 2.0 or Firewire to move data. Pathetic.

Same, I prefer boipucci.

I wanted to use eSATA, it seems to be a good port, but never did it because I wanted portable drives to be compatible. Maybe I'll get a eSATA to SATA adapter to read old hard drives. Does it need extra power for 3.5"?
>My old screen only had Displayport
>My new monitor does HDMI only with 30 Hz
I did. I got my first external drive in 2009, 1 TB for 66 €, great deal. I remember how I wondered how anyone could ever fill it. Now I have 2 TB SSD and 16.5 TB HDD and its not enough.

I didn't know what speed is, 2009 was Windows Vista 2 GB RAM age. 40 seconds boot time were normal for me.

lol

I was the pleb making disk image backups to a 500GB external drive through USB 2. Start the backup before going to bed and it'd be done in the morning.

wrooong, Jow Forums is pretty chad-tier, the virgins are all in Jow Forums or Jow Forums

>Jow Forums
>chad-tier
We might not go on random shooting sprees but we aren't exactly drowning in pussy either.

I am (got some chick following me home right now) - but then again, I don't use Linux.

>but then again, I don't use Linux
please delete this

I got the most pussy when I was running Ubuntu on a Chromebook

used eSATA afue times had one cable for it that came with my laptop or some thing and a desktop motherboard that had it. ended up taking apart a USB2.0 enclosure and using its internals as a adaptor. slow but it worked. now I just jack open the case and plug in what harddrives I need when I need them leaving heaps of cables for them use and unplugging them when I'm finished. only run SSDs 247.

what did it expand even?

those weird firewire versions

>It's a USB port too, virgin
FUCK I OWNED THIS LAPTOP FOR A DECADE AND I ONLY KNEW IT NOW

This port on the first gen Vita that was never used for anything that was most likely for AV out

Attached: 21.jpg (650x433, 32K)

Just never worked out that way. DB-9 is enough for anybody.

Attached: CC-379_RS-232_25_Pin_Pinout.jpg (450x450, 22K)

I'm using it right now.

It's literally written eSATA + USB.
You're not a very smart man, are you.

Attached: 8.jpg (1920x1440, 367K)

If I could save my children's lives by drawing the USB icon from memory they would have to die. OP's pic related means "eSATA + Devil Octopus", which is a port I've never used nor see any reason to exist.

Attached: whothoughitwasagoodideatoputthisshitinmotherboard.jpg (3008x3968, 1.76M)

What are you talking about, the USB icon is cute af.

What, USB C is fucking great.

DEVIL OCTOPUS

Attached: ultimate-octopus-usb-hub.jpg (600x600, 31K)

Joke on you.
>get refurb workstation with esata port.
>250gb ssd
>get ODD to HDD caddy for big HDD
>have disconnected DVD drive and need to use it twice a year
>dell esata enclosure is 3$ while crappy chink USB ones are 10$

Not for me, I almost have enough Husband Points this month!

I had that Game Boy Player thing that uses the top port, but I have no idea what the bottom ones do.

A friend of mine, who showed me Gentoo and is almost religiously using it wherever possible, seems to be drowning in pussy judging by his stories.

That isn't acceptable Bluetooth is so bad I've even gone back to aux on my car head units

kek

AHCI sata on a open case.

> A rich man went on a swimming expedition and he stopped swimming in the middle of the ocean. In the middle of the ocean he decided that he would pray to our Lord God…he would pray to God, our Lord…Jesus who would…um…Jesus our Lord, who would accept his prayer…answered prayer. But he carried on praying as was his word and he was hailed by people on a passing boat who said, ‘God won’t help you, swim for yourself’.

kek
get me in the screencap

Bottom one is modem.
Only games I know of that use it are Mario Kart double dash and Fantasy Star

Bluetooth isn't bad, the 5 people who write Bluetooth drivers are 100% streetshitters.

Audio nerds use this pretty frequently still

rECTUM

It has lots of vulnerabilities and leaks constantly

This is a good point. For whatever reason, I can feed all the audio into my TV, output the audio from the TV into the receiver via SPDIF, and I don't have to fucking worry much.

BT works for me just fine.

Attached: 90qreap1ajz01.jpg (280x208, 40K)

Not where there could be stress on the port/cable, like on the back of a pc. Other than that, it's fine

But we will be the first one to drown in android pussy
