This. Systemd being used instead of other process systems means nothing to 99.9% of programs that run on Linux. If something better comes along in the future, the 0.1% of programs out there that really depend on what systemd does to your computer can update themselves to reflect what the new system provides. This isn't rocket science.

Without the simple licensing and open design of licenses many tech products would never have come to fruition. Open source speeds up innovation in software. Most developers today have benefited greatly from it for free.

The girl at the counter was very nice about it and professional, and was like “Sir, you need to pay for those first.” At first he kept pretending to be tired and not hear her, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the counter.
When she took one of the bars and started scanning it multiple times, he stopped her and told her to scan them each individually “to prevent any electrical infetterence,” and then turned around and winked at me. I don’t even think that’s a word. After she scanned each bar and put them in a bag and started to say the price, he kept interrupting her by yawning really loudly.

GPL is anti free market in the sense that it attempts to destroy the concept of property. So long as everyone abides by GPL principles, no one owns any code, and everyone is free to do whatever they want. That's very much a Marxist idea, applied to code.
