Use CLI programs that work well like CMus or Ranger or AlsaMixer, etc. But also install a window manager and dock app and stop being retarded. I use xfce4, it's literally the only DE that works like DE in wangblows, even DE in wangblows 10 runs better than most DEs, like really, gnome and these other shites are extremely resource expensive, when I run gnome I feel like I'm running a fucking game, how can they ( or, should I say, (((they))) ) fuck up a bar+icons this bad?
