TrueOS install

Trying to install TrueOS here.

Everything works fine, it's just when the installer asks me to reboot, I do so, and having loaded the OS, I just get some kernel messages saying that everything is successful. Nothing more happens after that. How can I fix this?

By installing gentoo.

Install Gentoo

I will do that, I really will.

But for now I want this to work.

>Not using OpenBSD

Install Haiku

*onions
onions wtf

I'm trying to decipher what you mean, is it that qupzilla has no icons? Yeah that's weird.

WHAT
Why can't I write s*y?

nobody knows?

No, Jow Forums faggot admins convert "s o y" automatically to onions.

bump..

If you're going to use BSD, then use NetBSD. All other BSDs are hot garbage.

This. Haiku OS is one of the best hobbyist systems. It feels like Mac OS 9 with such a complete GUI, but also feels so UNIX-like with the shells, file systems, and microkernel.

Only advantage of netbsd is that you can install it on a toaster, it's inferior in every other way

Nobody knows?

Mods are that thing and hate the word.

Ok, now everything makes sense.

Did you type startx?

Nope
Nothing happens in the bootloader tho, no matter what I press

Or kernel* not sure what the term is. Just goes to there from the standard “select multiuser”etc menu

Still seems like a fun project to work on, not as commercialized as freebsd or as autistic as openbsd
