I have not used this once and now I got some teal USB ports on the back of my mobo going to waste

bash linux all you want but leave tux out of it

What's wrong with Linux? It does everything I need it to

Attached: download.jpg (259x194, 13K)

What exactly is wrong with these, or are you memeing?

Built my first computer last year and that was so easy to figure out by just reading the mobo instructions. Got it first time as well
How do people struggle with that?

forgot to cram these in 6 years ago
too lazy to dismantle cooling loop since then

No games

This but unironically.

...

buy a shitty alt gpu, use that for linux and use your powerful one for passthrough in a windows vm

Or fucking dual boot Windows and forget those autistic non-sense solutions.

It's not that it's a struggle. It's simply a pain in the fucking arse. They should hurry up and great a standardised pin block and connector for front panels. At a minimum you have power and reset button as well as power LED and maybe HDD activity. There's four pins already that could be standardised.

Ouchie

I really cannot believe these aren't just fitted to all motherboards as standard. Touch wood I've never left one out yet, but there'll be a thousand blasphemies the first time I do.

They strip too easily, they sieze up , the case panels cause them to misalign , they fucking stink

It's not that they are difficult but that they are archaic and tedious

UASP.
Like why even fucking bother when it just causes random disconnects.

>tfw got my premium asus q connector
>tfw doesn't even plug in all the way and I spend more time trying to shove it in than just inserting them separately.

>literal garbage

Except werk.

These creep the hell out of me.

Stop buying shit cases then. My $50 case hasn't had any of those problems on any of the 4 screws in over 6 years.

Fractal design has the same shit

*falls behind motherboard*

Literally any software distributed for a motherboard that has the words:

>EZ
>Boost
>Maxiumum

It all just slows your PC down ironically.

Cut myself on every single one of these fuckers.

>flash the bios in windows

why would you bend them inward?

> WAHH! Fat connector ruins the aesthetics of my RGB gaymur peesee

It's fine.

*cuts your finger on the case when it finally releases*

Heh, nothin' personnel.

>>flash the bios in windows
literally bricked my p67 i5 2500 msi board with that, and the bios chip was fucking soldered on. Did this last year, too.

All taiwanese technology

People don't read instructions, that's how.

plugging shit in obviously isn't the hard part. It's troubleshooting it 6 months later when you can't return shit to the store quickly that's the problem.

>trying to unplug that connector on a x399 board
>it's so stuck that it comes right off the pcb, leaving bare pins

I mean I put it back what what the fuck is the point even. it was literally glued in place.

>Has a magnetic screwdriver
Nothin personell kid

>it's a plastic washer

Underrated

no standard between PSUs
buy short cable set, PSU not compatible even though it should be, fry system

I left mine out on my latest build. It was fucking impossible to line it up with the motherboard and case correctly, even after an hour of fucking around with it.
I fucking hate them. They're literally the most annoying part of building a new pc / installing a new motherboard.
