Gaming monitors

144hz monitor under ~$300 USD.

Is it worth it with that budget or wait and save more?

Budget friend

Honestly you should save a bit more and get at least 1440p

Not all of us have a gtx 1080ti

If you still play with games you need to get off this board.

Might not have the gpu to drive it

Only have an r9 280x, very old, very mediocre.

But for the games I play it does just fine with FPS over 144. That's why the monitor was the next upgrade. Maybe I should be looking at GPUs instead lol

Can anyone recommend a 1440p 60hz IPS monitor?

Anything by Asus and Acer will have a high rate of shit quality control and you'll be playing hardware lottery until you get a monitor without dead pixels and minimal light bleeding.

BenQ, LG, Samsung, Philips, Viewsonic, AOC, best to review these brands of the monitor you want and see how many times someone returned that certain model to avoid playing lottery.

thanks, family.

>t. human garbage

If its 1440p 144hz its good deal, get it. Although I recommend having gsync or freesync if you're doing 144hz. It makes a difference.

Got one of those LG 21:9 2560x1080 144Hz ones, it's pretty amazing. Sure it's not as sharp as a 1440p monitor but my budget pretty much made that choice for me.

Sharia law when?

Look at a Freesync monitor. Try the AOC G2460PF

Why does 1080p 144/165/200Hz IPS not exist?

Samsung also has non-existent quality control. CFG70s are straight up defective by design.

This. The G4260PF can even be overclocked to 165HZ at 1080p and 195HZ at 720p

27" version 1440p is perfect I'm trying to find one used

Depends if you can drive it or need it. Probably its TN too.

TN isn't as bad if its a high quality panel. I recently switched to IPS, its 20 % better in color production, you notice the bright colors are better. Otherwise I see no difference. Both don't have input lag.

60 Hz is fine if you play slow paced RPGs or strategy. I prefer quality over speed, though 4K120 would be nice.

I have the nixeus edg27. It's $400 for 27 inch ips 1440p 144hz. Not the absolute cheapest but you'll be making a compromise in either color or refresh rate if you go much cheaper.

I have two, they used to be awesome but the newly manufactured ones have a yellow tint that is really noticeable if you have more than one.
If you can get your hands on a used one for around $100 then definitely do it.
