Is this meant to be bait? Only thing worth taking issue with is
>too many distributuons
I don't get why variety is a con

>let's all make our own variation to solve the same problem poorly instead of focusing together to solve it amazingly

All of the cons except the last one are actually pros.

What problem?

package management, desktop environments, even goddamn file browsers

games in the con section meant a lack of games.
>inb4 people being capable of doing things I don't like is a flaw

bait

wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/PCI_passthrough_via_OVMF

>limited vendor support
what? RedHat and SUSE provide top-tier support

>Too many distributions
goes in pros
>Confusing for beginners
goes in pros
>No proprietary applications
goes in pros

These aren't problems...there are simply different approaches that suit different people.

>solve the same problem
Opinion discarded.

With less games you have less distractions. It's a pro for productivity.

based and redpilled

>community spirit is a pro
Grasping at straws librefags?

Then templeos have even less opportunity for procrastinating.
Not everyone is a sociopath.

Its a problem when most of then are shit.

>Too many distributions
Not a problem
>Confusing for beginners
So would Windows be if it was not the standard
>Games
Will improve with adoption
>Limited support for proprietary applications
See previous point
>Limited vendor support
See previous point

Put audio setup in cons.

Linux has plenty of games nowadays.

>linux
>too many distributions
linux is a KERNEL

>short debug time

Yes, there's a lot of OS distributions based on the Linux kernel.

when that cons are actually pro's

>cons can be literally boiled down to "muh gayemz and broadcom drivers"

We know. We don't care. GNU is pure cringe.

>pure cringe
you have to go back

Linux is only free if you time is worthless

Sorry for triggering you, Jow Forums. GNU is still cringe though

Only if you want to port it to oobscure platforms.

Proprietary software are for cucks. It's utterly shocking to know that actual, literal cuckolds are unironically bringing and wanting
these software-as-a-jail on a libre system.

I know, truly the OS of patricians

Waiting for my x220 to arrive
I want to put ubuntu on it , what do you guys think?

I've been a windows user all my life but I want to switch.

Probably not what OP means. Pathetic example: A big-ass X-ray machine at a hospital has a driver for Windows XP. It costs a ton of money to replace that hardware. There is no vendor support for GNU/Linux (or anything else except Windows XP). SUSE and RedHat can't help you with that one, nor can anyone else. So the machine connected to it is bound to Windows XP (not Windows 7, not Windows 10, that machine will run Windows XP forever).

It is true that quite a few hardware manufacturers just say screw Linux.

..as for the rest of the points on that list.. not sure those are actually cons.

hospitals are corrupt in the US, they are all about profit at the expense of their patients
they like paying big money for things that will only be used once or that the OEM wont give lifetime support for
