you guys are dumb, there's no risk listening to stax as long as both ears dont touch the electrostatic driver at the same time, as long as one ear touches and the other is insulated by pads there's no danger. now if you shake your head or press the pads too tightly, yes they will kill you.

this is only true as long as it doesn't touch long enough for the current to build up. if you shake your head for over 5 seconds and both ears touch the headphone then you will die instantly. that basically never happens though and most people shouldn't worry about it as long as they remain motionless in their listening sessions.

i like stax, but i'm not selling anything that currently have. 1990 is great for gaming and stuff, lcd2c is warm and comfy, h600 sounds great out of a tube. i used to hd600 a lot for travel.

that's a bad thing for anything open world, footsteps will sound IN YOUR EAR ALL THE TIME
that's how it works with 1990, they over saturate footsteps in some games, I played Prey and MD in them, it's a bit odd.
Headphones need to make distant sounds in game sound distant and close sounds sound close, 600s do that well.
