Hurr durr just git got affected. They even deleted their git page

>backup org not affected
>they just need to mirror their backup repo and they're good
I want /v/ to leave

Are you 12?

Creating a thread is enough, everyone will see it. No reason to spam the entire board.

"This does NOT affect any code hosted on the Gentoo infrastructure. Since the master Gentoo ebuild repository is hosted on our own infrastructure and since Github is only a mirror for it, you are fine as long as you are using rsync or webrsync from gentoo.org"

>zero reading comprehension

>Development of Gentoo primarily takes place on Gentoo operated hardware (not on github) and remains unaffected

Give OP some slack. Shitposting about this nonissue is probably the only self worth he has.

>you are fine
>as long as you are doing this
Pick one

>>as long as you are using this, which is the default settings
you'd have to had gone out of your way to sync from the it repos, and if you'd set up your portage to do that you should have also set it up to verify commit signatures.

rsync is the default, retard. I think most gentoomen are in the clear.

wiki.gentoo.org/wiki//etc/portage/repos.conf#Main_Gentoo_repository

rsync from gentoo's internal repo is the default*

There's nothing to save they lost nothing
Are you retarded or trying too hard?

Apparently ebuilds got vandalized to look like this: pastebin.com/raw/L99tCGbz
Also systemd ebuild got vandalized.
Curlpit was one of the developers losing their github account. They've been kicked off gentoo team until they sort out how exactly it was compromised.

In any case, vandalized ebuilds do nothing because it's incorrect ebuild syntax, and you can't really delete files from ebuilds because of the sandbox.

Also, you're not supposed to sync from gentoo instead of gentoo-mirror at all, I think either wiki or gh/gentoo used to say so. gh/gentoo is not a sync mirror, it's place for pull requests from people who are not gentoo developers.

>get hacked
Good, stop using microsoft products
