My room might be bugged

I dealt with a similar situation except it was my landlord. Common places for bugs include any picture frames or belongings left behind, insides of furniture cushions, underneath carpet, any nooks and crannies like window sills and, the final place I found them, was under the paint on the walls.

You'll need to thoroughly search these places, but rather than strip your walls down, you will likely find bugs wherever two walls meet. You should only chip away the paint in these areas. When you find any suspicious looking things embedded into the wall, take a drill and put it straight through the device.

You'll need to do this regularly though. Bugs nowadays can get wind of your motives and even when I boobie trapped my room, my landlord was able to figure out where they were and bypass them to install new bugs.

You too should get some mental help

No landlord would put so much effort in setting up bugs.

First off, change your router passwords. Any device he set up that uses the router will be disconnected.

Op here, i feel like it's important that I add, my brother is ex air force intelligence and I'm 100% sure he has access to bugs

I can only hear them in my room, and I never hear them at times I know they are both at work. I have no history with mental illnesses. Also I'm half black in a family of all whites who have routinely targeted me from some sort of racial hate (I live in deep East texas aka redneck central). I've been told by a few people that they (bro and gf) have been trying to reframe me by leaking info they could've only gotten from spy on me (ie bugs and/or hacked into my phone)

If you seriously mistrust the people you live with, get a job (any job, you can always get a better one later) and get your own cheap apartment. Life is too short to live with feelings of threat from those close to you.

You should do this even if you are genuinely paranoid / mentally ill. It will be easier to work those things out when you're definitely alone -- the paranoia will be more obvious to those in a position to help you.

these are more annoying to find, but not impossible, most bug sweepers just look for RF transmissions, and it will miss any that arent active
