The power of Java

Your computer must be a piece of shit. I load it from a shitty sata ssd from 2011, and it loads in like 1.5 seconds.

Arrived at this thread intending to write a post of a similar style and wording

Writer just took a little under 10 seconds to fully open on my laptop - i7-2760QM, 7200RPM disk.

Tested it. Took literally 5 seconds. Don't buy ancient computers, faggot.

Are you guys on Windows or something? Opens fine on Gentoo

Placebo. Once you're opened LibreOffice once, it always starts up quickly.

Hello, Skid.

>implying office loads faster

I have to wait 20-30seconda for office running on a fucking octa-core computer with 64GB of RAM. (Not mine, computer lab).

But on my shitty i3 laptop from 2015 LibreOffice takes the same time.

It actually opens faster than MS Office now, which became slower with 2013/2016...

Pro tip: you can also disable the splash screen to make it half a second faster.

Install Arch

I hate fake splash and losing screens

>*takes 30 seconds to open*
I just tested it, it opens withing 3s and I installed it on a normal HDD.

Something is wrong with your PC, OP.

>Not on my machine

Time to upgrade from your eMachine, gramps

What? I've opened documents with 10k+ rows on calc and it took a little over a second

(you)

Install funtoo

You added an extra zero there.
Or are you running this on a 90s machine?

Just install Office 2000 and FileFormatConverters.exe for DOCX/XLSX support.

I waited seven years for a document that actually could not open properly under such combination.
