KDE is better than Win-

always hated on KDE, mainly because the hardware I ran linux on was underpowered.

Now, on a proper desktop I tried it again, and it's not that bad as I thought.
There are however a couple issues I have with it. like
>scroll on taskbar and it switches windows
>click on wrong part of taskbar and you suddenly resize it (can't lock)
>primary monitor set to right, applications still open mainly on left monitor
>default file manager can't into samba (because devs want every other program to have kdewallet integration, not the other way around)
>file manager does not honor terminal set in settings, always opens konsole
>dark theme... well, only the gtk ones are broken, but in the end still unusable, unless more qt alternatives are offered

It's working OK for me so far. I wish it was more distro-agnostic though, considering "Discover" only(?) works for apt/debian based distros.

For better or worse everything I've needed is built in. I'm glad, because I have not found anything to indicate there are "extensions" for plasma.

can't reproduce that on kubuntu 18

dark theme works 100% for me..
dolphin file manager is pretty bad. I just use thunar

Why don't you just mount the windows shared drives via cifs on your existing filesystem?
