Mining data on Jow Forums.
Retards are so eager to give me any info I need. It's an easy job.
Approximately 2 cents per post.

I find it interesting, it's in civil aviation which I think is cool. It's a nice mix of managing/writing programs/scripts that we use without actually being a "programmer", which I've always feared would drain the fun out of programming as a hobby outside of work.

>What's your job?
Data cleansing, light scripting. Will eventually start doing muh big data.
>Do you enjoy it?
Puts food on the table, plus I get to travel.

It's not Calibucks, so I'm not living like a peasant.

>really simple sql
LOL
I wish it was that fucking easy. I take customer data, in fucking Excel format, sometimes on stupid fucking PDFs, and I write Python scripts to extract useful data out of it.

>the data science meme
stay corporate, you'll get eaten alive in a real company trying to make real money

State Gov Employee who works in a Printshop
Sometimes, I have no stress or deal with bullshit. All "important" shit is decided by someone above me. Pretty much show up on time, do what needs doing, then leave. Benefits is set in stone, got a pension check and 401k + paid medical waiting for me in 15 more years (be 50 yrs old)
Just under $27k (before tax)

Data science is more to do with the analysis of the data that I clean, not the actual cleaning itself.
I would assume those faggots get paid much more than I do, since them and their statistical analysis are the face of the whole project.
And yeah, I am planning on staying corporate. Going startup isn't something I ever want to do. The culture seems much more dog-eat-dog, and I'm not talking from a competition pov, moreso that the day-to-day is like being slave driven.
Beside from that, computers and IT are something that I slowly want to phase myself out of. By the time I hit 35, I want to get into small-time real estate, collect rent and just look after properties. If I do decide to salarycuck myself, it'll definitely be as a goof, just to have friends and someone to eat lunch with.

>Devops and back end
>Yeah
>I bring home 90K

Exactly this. I just graduated 6 weeks ago.

Dude, get a GS position somewhere. Try to get a job that requires a clearance. Relocate if you need to. You can get a 150K+ job in a couple years, and keep all your benefits. When you retire, the check will be enough to live off of.

What a nasty slave perspective in your language. Have you ever not been subjugated? Grow a spine and stand up like a man.

Senior developer writing buzzword software that actually works, unlike our competitors
Yes
96k

I always wondered how much it would suck to be in HVAC in late May / early June. All those people that didn't have their air conditioners checked out screaming at you because they don't have air conditioning.

6/8, not bad

I don't wanna be in the Chemicals Industry (unless it's Upstream Oil & Gas).
I want to work in Finance or Technology.

That's pretty weak, I always thought czechs get paid more than poles in IT.
How many years of experience do you have?

What's your disposable income monthly?
I was kinda considering working a year or two in southern Asia for a change.

About 3 years, I work in a smaller company though. If you work with Java, you can get like ~130k CZK (before taxes), but that's about maximum.

Pennies (even for the third world in live in), but I was a soft. eng. drop out with no previous experience on the field, so I kind of had to take it.

I think about killing myself pretty much every day.

Somewhat. I am an unskilled labour and ready to take everything to gain experience. I hope I will be able to land a decent job later.
