Fake, there are no g4s left that haven't bootlooped

fpbp

Congrats. My LG V20 is still waiting in Android 8.0 that they promised.

shit, the security update broke the lockscreen

4 replies, 5 posters.
Damn, I really would have loved this to be true.

>what is reflowing and reballing

LG literally pushed update to few strings in ToS due to latest bullshit EU regulations

I still use an LG G3. All the updates made it worse tho.

>3 year old android curry phone

I still have LG G2 mini acting as night clock/IP babycam. That's the peak of it's capabilities.
It's literal garbage. Standard soft was godawful. It was named like it was compact version flagship model but it's actually entry level piece of shit with no light sensor and notification led even. Battery, on paper was quite impressive for it's time (~2400mah) but after 1 year of use dropped to ~50% efficiency and barely lasted a day. I was shocked when I found out 2014 phone didn't support USB otg - 2011 xperia mini did.

year old android curry phone
>you don't buy a $700 phone every year goy
>you keep the old one that has radio, removable battery, nfc, sd card, unlocked carriers, color spectrum sensor, headphone jack
>buy the newest and more expensive own goy to enjoy the lack of features, goy
>you aren't a chad if you don't pay watch your consumerist habits, goy

boot loop soon

a $200 phone from $CURRENT_YEAR does everything better than G4 though
on top of that, the it'll most likely have close to no chance of dying randomly like LG phones from that era tend to

kek'd
sent from my LG G4 though

>chad
>browsing Jow Forums

chose one, cunt

I had access to internal stats of one rather big site dedicated to mobile phones. Noticed an unnatural amount of LG shilling, mostly from Russian IPs (cheap proxies I guess?). Funnily enough LG V20 was one of the most shilled phones despite being outdated already. Might be a brand recognition thing? I don't know.

Fake and gay

there are specific batches of g4s that bootloop.
>a $200 phone from $CURRENT_YEAR does everything better than G4 though
Ohh... wait... a $200 phone from 2018 does what I bought $280 in 2016?
Holy fucking shit, I got robbed.
the other answer is no.
Your chink phone doesn't have better camera, better CPU, more features, support, or anything else.
gsmarena.com/xiaomi_redmi_note_5_pro-8893.php
your chink meme phone with the snapdragon 600 and your 1080p video, can't even match features from the 2014 g3.

Hola, LG shill.

2018
gsmarena.com/xiaomi_redmi_note_5_pro-8893.php
Price About 200 EUR

2014
gsmarena.com/lg_g3-6294.php
Price About 300 EUR

yeah, comparing features from 2014 and 2018 on products with $100 price difference and almost half a decade apart is .... you found it, shilling.

>hello Jow Forums, this new wonderful meme phone is only $200 and offers almost anything a $300 phone from the previous century offered.
>pliz buy.

>Your chink phone doesn't have better camera
LMAO

>Price About 300 EUR
Dishonest LGnigger, do you really think that people can't just check initial prices?

>Interestingly, the sweepstakes rules mention a $599 retail price for the Sprint LG G3 model.
>Oddly all carry a $849.99 pre-order price except the white 32GB variant, which is priced at $774.99.
>Sellers on Amazon and eBay are offering the Korean model of the device, model F-400, with a price hovering between $775 and $825.

you look a bit pale dude,
are you ok?
it's as if... you lost your colour.
have you seen a doctor?

Wow, you really got me there, pal!

>better camera
most of them do though
>cpu
snapdragon 636 is both faster and more power efficient
>more features
absolutely, undeniably wrong
>support
remind me, what version of android you're stuck on?

>Dishonest
dishonest?
all the prices of lg g's started next to premium phones but dropped drastically in the span of 6 months or 1 year.
That statement actually make my purchase look even better.
I bought top tier phone of $700, less than a year after its launch for less than half of its price, got it from a perfect batch of phones, similarly priced phones from 3 years later still have worse features.

...and that's what gsmarena does with their prices, they adjust the price that the phone settles.
I did a $280 purchase, I compare it with similarly priced products.

>phones get cheaper with time
What a genius strategy from LG, if only other companies did that...

>there are specific batches of g4s that bootloop.

This is not true. I bought my G4 in the beginning of 2017, thinking that since it's a newer version of the phone it wouldn't bootloop. It went to bootloop around a month ago. They all will bootloop eventually. Fuck LG.

you claimed G4 was 300 EUR in 2014, which is a lie
if you didn't, learn to word your posts better if you don't want to look like you've been dropped on your head as a kid

wow, such facts, many arguments.
>snapdragon 636 is both faster and more power efficient
only thing about 636 in the wild is some memebench score... you know the benchmark that ties smartphone cpus with laptop cpus 3-4 times the TDP.
I'll take an OoO superscalar anyday over some in order crap.

>you claimed G4 was 300 EUR in 2014, which is a lie
No I didn't, I copied the price from gsmarena and specifically said that my 2015, not 2014, phone which I bought for $280 has those features

>What a genius strategy from LG
that's not strategy, it's your strategy, you avoid phones with artificially inflated prices.
The price determines if you buy brands or features.
it's well known that samsung and apple phones keep their value, because poor people buy them second hand en-masse in order to upgrade their social status.
I don't buy thottphones.

>I bought my G4 in the beginning of 2017
You have to check man. date dude, not when you bought it.
forum.xda-developers.com/g4/help/how-determine-manufacturing-date-lg-g4-t3265316

>t. Android 6.0 poster

See, that's what I'm talking about. Very aggresive LG marketing.

>only thing about 636 in the wild is some memebench score
okay, so on what basis are you saying that SD808 in G4 is faster? Your made up internet credibility points?

I still love my v10. It did boot loop though. After warranty repair it's still going strong. Bought it first week out and on my third battery. It's android 6 on Verizon.

Kek, but I'm a moosefag and ours work perfectly fine.

>SD808 in G4 is faster?
it's right there in my post, OoO super-scalar.

>snapdragon 636 is both faster and more power efficient
>meanwhile the graphics are like 3 times slower

i understand what it is. How is what you're saying relevant to what we're discussing?
How is it in ANY way relevant to real life performance of a phone?
Why are you performing world-class mental gymnastics to prove a SoC from 2014 performs better than one from 2018, despite every possible metric available simply proving you wrong?

>slower
notebookcheck.net/Qualcomm-Snapdragon-636-SoC.300988.0.html
notebookcheck.net/Qualcomm-Snapdragon-808-MSM8992-SoC.117420.0.html
636 beats 808 in graphical benchmarks by up to 50%, so what are you even talking about?

I don't get what that lgtard is trying to say anyway. We should buy 4 years old phone just because it might be better in some aspect?

i got that too. feels smoother now

It's not 50%, they're close apparently, I was wrong too.
808 vs 636:

I thought 808 was similar to 820 but it's way slower:

i don't know if that's close
