Should I buy a GS quartz or am I retarded for spending $2k on a quartz? I have mechanicals covered at this point and it’s between the GS or saving more money for a Speedy Pro down the line. I prefer the 37mm case size on the Seiko though.

I personally think a quartz is a waste.
I wouldn't buy a Speeder either, but that's just me.

Never in a million year would I spend that amount of money on a quartz. 500 tops desu.

If you're talking about a 9F, really consider a citizen chronomaster instead. 5spy vs 10spy, finishing pretty close to equal footing, eco drive, independently adjustable hour hand.

cool. bit of a pizza plate tho

Thanks for the recommendation, I wasn’t familiar with this line of watches. The AQ 4020-54Y is a real stunner with the textured dial.

Great. I love this watch. I would own it myself, if I didn't already own the speedy. Not to say that you can't own both, but I try not to own two watches that look similar.

They make the best externally finished quartz watches on the market, but the 37mm models are a bit...externally underwhelming at this point compared to the larger SBGV quartz models.

The Citizen models recommended by give up a little in external finishing but are more accurate.

The tiny clocks are:
-current gravitational pull caused by own mass
-pressure on wrist caused by wristwatch
-cholesterine % in body sweat

The clock only shows the time in Bulova, a fictional dictorship state ruled by it's feared and a bit crazy leader Notabulova.

Yo dog I heard you like Japanese movements.

>tfw no Speedsonic
These things are cool as shit, but the thought of trying to keep a tuning fork chronograph maintain scares the hell out of me.

Attached: side-4.jpg (1536x1152, 190K)

I'd like one too. But yea, maintaining a tuning fork is a hassle in itself, nevermind the chronograph module on top of the f300Hz base movement.

The thought of wearing anything worth more than $500 on my wrist scares the hell out of me. I've destroyed and drowned (lost at sea/river) enough watches to imagine the feels of doing that to a luxury piece.

How does the chronograph even engage in these without shredding the index wheel?

I feel like at a certain point, you can put too much text on a watch dial, and this is that point. It's like a goddamn novel down by the 6. For what PURPOSE???
Fuck! It ruins an otherwise very good looking watch.

>the NOS tropic rubber strap I got for pennies like a year ago for my shitfibia are now going for at least $50
I'm not that surprised though, this turned out to be a ridiculously good strap, despite its vintage ugliness.

Doesn't engage the index wheel is my guess. Probably just uses the wheel for the running seconds. You can look up the ESA 9210 which is the movement that all the tuning fork chronos use.
