Are they listenable?

they use different drivers than the 1060's, so they don't suffer from ringing, and you can actually make them open with some minor modding (and wwow they sound pretty nice)

a good improvement on the 1060's, probably the best 300$ headphone on the market

What is a good headphone i can use for everything from gaming (mic not necessary), listening to records and in my phone when traveling/walking around?
Basically an all-rounder.

Budget $200-ish.

AT m50x

Okay, but are they listenable? The FR looks like trash. Do you hear what the graph shows? Is the mud hump under 300hz audible? Same with the giant hump centered on 1.7K?

>Hey bro let me try out them new headphones.
What do?

"No. Your hands are covered in cheeto dust."

Lick his fingers then let him try the headphones.

That Fostex looks sexy as fuck.

Actually been looking at those. Thanks.

Be honest how many of you guys have Stax? I count like 3~4 people.

Attached: 1525981946354.png (367x288, 130K)

I remember at least four people posting pics of theirs and one faggot pretending to have bought them.

>pretending to have bought them.
And why do you think that?

Attached: hmhm.png (573x353, 17K)

I think there's five, not counting the LARPer.

Then post a timestamped picture, and don't say that you don't have a camera as you already posted your Argons.

>Post proof you have stax
>Post receipts
>NO not that proof
>Post shipping fulfillment
>Post fulfillment
>NO that's fake
>Post timestamped picture of your stax, argons and wrists in the same frame with a camera you don't have.
Well gee you got me.

Repostan.

We get it you don't have them now shut the fuck up already

But I do have them user. You think I don't have them because I think and still think the build quality is shit. Even if I pulled a camera out my as and took a picture with all the requirements you would still try and save face and come up with some more crap.

Attached: 1528779332985.png (297x198, 87K)

No you don't we all know now fuck off

you already proved you do in fact have a camera

you already proved you're a liar and a little bitchy teenager

you're the worst poster in this general by far

I took that picture on a Galaxy tab 4 that said galaxy tab 4 is not mine and I don't have it on hand. I have said this multiple times now. What part of this don't you understand? I do not OWN a personal camera.
>you're the worst poster in this general by far
Okay reddit spaces.

No shitcans.

What is a reasonable price for a second hand Fluke 115 with case and all (Condition looks new)?

Lookin at this. Heard shitty things about the remote and the no level saving between outputs, but I'm looking for a not so expensive all-in-one solution for both headphones and a pair of passive speakers on my desk. Any recommendations in the same price range?

Lick his feet, then plant the headphones on your greasy, dandruff-ridden noggin using those cheeto waste material covered paws of yours of course.

JBL Synchros E30

I'm trying to avoid anything with bluetooth or removable cables with 3.5mm or 2.5mm jacks on the headphones, i broke my synchros cause the jack snapped off inside the port. Also bluetooth quality is trash

I'd hate to listen to vocals on that

Sub $250 need a gaymening headset. USB and not wireless.

I liked how comfy they were, until the strap broke.

what dac are you feeding the wa22 with

good luck finding any hifiman product used that isn't going to fall to shreds the second time you pick them up

he uses a benchmark dac if I remember

One exception was the PM3. RIP OPPO.

the older dac 1 or the current dac3?

think its this one but I dont remember exactly

Mine have been good for many years. Sometimes the screw on the yoke works itself loose but I just retighten it and it's fine.

Explain to me, a brainlet, why I need an amp and a DAC when I have a sound card

you probably dont, what headphone do you have

Shitty jbls
I'm planning on buying a new pair now that I'm making decent money

how much you wanna spend

I had spent $200 on a Bose Soundlink Mini 2 a couple years ago that got stolen, so my ballpark is $200 to $300 for right now. I'll probably spend more on a new sound card too cause mine has really bad ground feedback that I can't fix
On an audiophile level I'm basically entry level, but I do care about quality

Anything fun

dont get a sound card theyre pretty much garbage compared to the offerings you can get externally, and they dont do as much for you. pretty much only gamers buy sound cards because they really care more about tricking their pc than getting a good product

hd600 is the gold standard recommendation at that price point but some of our resident autists can tell you about things like the hd6xx or hd650 if theyre lurking

you dont need much to drive a hd600, you can get a cheap dac like a topping d10 and its more than you'll ever need. you can also just use your motherboard as a dac and spend it all on an amp, which is a better idea

as for amps theres no one rec that everybody will get behind. I dont even know what I would get at the entry level anymore. maybe some tube meme just for fun

A soundcard IS a DAC/amp. Just a shitty one.

WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING

THE M50X SUCKS

GET THE TAKSTAR PRO 82, IT'S SUPER CHEAP AND MAKES EVERYTHING UNDER THE DT880 COMPLETELY OBSOLETE

Looking for budget headphones that sound good but I won't feel regret if they get destroyed at work. Any recommendations? (sub-$50 preferred)

Is dt880 a good sub $200 upgrade from the philips shp?

The 82's seem to good to be true. Ordering a pair to try them out.

Attached: IMG_2922.jpg (600x415, 64K)

At this point, I'm convinced that most audiophiles are either a bunch of lying shill fucks or simply close to deaf.

>Reviewer: This amp has a low noise floor and a pitch-black background! I recommend using it with sensitive IEMs.
>Amplifier: HISSSSSSSSSSSS

That album is compressed to hell and back why even own it physically

>audiophiles are either a bunch of lying shill fucks
bit of lying but not that much actually. more mostly just placebo and the power of suggestion and the following of mythology
>simply close to deaf
the average age of audiophiles is like 60, almost none of them can hear worth shit

I don't think it's your amp that is making your speakers hiss user

Check your DAC and plugs, you might have a ground loop issue or switch to SPDIF. I used to have horrible noise issues with USB which went away once I started using SPDIF.

it was a present from my mommy

Portable DAC/amps, portable source. It's definitely the amp stage that's hissing.

is the ifi micro bl worth getting?

Attached: 6e0f8a90_IMG_20170214_131047.jpg (1024x579, 94K)

No. Move out of your moms basement and acquire speakers. You can thank me later.

I wish I were the girl trapped in the corner I wish I were a girl :(

I would grab her pathetic fucking leg and push it upwards so she lands on her back and cracks her head open

lol

stop posting this, you're making think these bad thoughts

Attached: 1503895379728.jpg (1122x1114, 159K)

My point is that people are telling others that these shit amps are good

I've owned one and sold one. The Micro iDSD BL has that "this was designed by a boutique hi-fi manufacturer instead of competent professional engineers" feel to it.

The buttons fall off easily, there's channel imbalance at low volumes because they didn't use a stepped attenuator on a $600 amp, they fucked up the IEMatch implementation, making multi-BA IEMs sound off, you have to turn it off and on again to (de-)activate charging mode, etc.

So in other words it's chink shit that is not worth the 800aud

What's the problem with the O2/ODAC?

why does it take a while to start liking a new pair of headphones?
