animegirlholdingpuke.jpeg

Cinnamon is actually pretty good. Sorry that your memepad over heats at even slight animations from basic desktop usage.

I applied for a job at Target and I went there today to scope out the location.
There was almost exclusively GIRLS working the floor, this is gonna be freakin nice when I get the job. Within 6 moinths I bet I lose my virginity.

>fake windows start menu

Why?

yeah exactly and to me your fapple setup doesn't look any comfy.

I think it looks better than Tux or the mint logo.
And mint is closest distro to windows.

that start button is aids

it isn't, it's an annoying frankenstein
gnome and it's forks aren't good either

This is what peak comfiness looks like.

loled at this

It looks good. I haven't tried 18.04 yet, last one for me was 16.04. Then just used Debian stable for awhile, got bored, went to mint on desktop and Solus on laptop. haven't been happier although Debian was amazing however after a recent update it started acting funny...

>top panel displaying almost nothing
>windows icon for start menu on fucking linux
>massive terminal font size
> thicc bottom panel
>fahrenheit and 12-hour time

you really know how to trigger me user

Cinnamon is actually pretty good desu.

Because it is the only one that just werks

at least everything is readable. I am posting from my couch on a tv with everything being wireless. That probably triggers you more my good sir/ma'am. The funny part is that it is the actual and real truth.
>btw nothing wrong with the panels.

>Why is Linux Mint still so comfy?
It's not.

did you mean gnu + linux mint

Install Calculate

ジェンツーをインストールしろ

It's not. I actually thought that until I installed arch and xfce. It's waaaay better

Shill Arch to me as hard as you can. I'm interested.

But what does this have to do with Mint?

Shame it's bloated as fuck
>2k+ packages

Mint attracts poon afaik

>inb4 macfag

Attached: screenfetch.jpg (2880x1800, 1.46M)

Update to mint 19 my man.

I wish, but cinnamon kept on crashing at startup :(

>having more packages is bad

this meme needs to end

nah, couldn't give less of a shit about the position you're in. given youre probably a few meters away from the screen the thiccness of some elements makes sense, but jesus christ, move away from using meme measurements and windows fetishism. at the very least, use a pre-windows 8 icon style as the fucking trapezium pane is disgusting looking imo

Upgrade to 19 my friend.
Yes 18.3 is comfy but mint 19 has so much improvement its a sin to not use it instead of 18.3.

ArchVirgin on damage controll because he is mad users of his os were used as beta testers for new cinnamon.

Nice bait

Because you can't install Gentoo.

Because it reminds them of the big cocks they shove down their windpipes daily.

Nice picture. Surely made by a Pajeet. How does it take 30 minutes to install Mint?

adapta version, the green is ugly imo

This.
Some people just have no taste.

>uptime 13d
You fucking lunatic.

>that start button

What is wrong with you?

Because they're children and they yet have to develop their motoric sense.

Its set up mint not only install but also some additional things to increase performance (like installing drivers, updates, setting theme, setting swappiness to 10 etc).

Oh..gee. Thanks for explaining.

It affects boot time worse than systemd

>Werk on Linux machines all day at work.

Because linux mint purpose is to be easy to use distro working out of the box especially made for people who want to move from windows.
And creators took this purpose seriously, because usually most of "user friendly distros" are just "I just slap on it graphical installer and DE and call it easy to use distro".

Mint is diffrent, mint dev team actually goes further with that idea.

Driver manager, preinstalled codecs, xapps, firewall gui... simple things but effective.

Also great kudos for mint team for using potential of things like flatpak to get some bleeding edge experience on some software or timeshift to improve update policy (for example adding automatic updates)

Cinnamon is a great DE, easy to navigate around, easy to change look.

All this things makes mint a really comfy distro.

>And creators took this purpose seriously, because usually most of "user friendly distros" are just "I just slap on it graphical installer and DE and call it easy to use distro".
This, look at Debian, which autistically complains about missing drivers and firmware even with the nonfree iso.
t. used Mint for about 3 years before installing Gentoo

Mint is alright but memo is a shit.
>can't mount its thumbnails folder to tmpfs
>loses its shit in thumbnail view when you have folders and/or pics of different sizes
Still not as shit as thunar but wtf

>having a SSD
>not turning off your computer at all
Spotted the KDE user

I wouldn't have said anything if there wasn't fucking reddit open, fucking kill yourself and never come back.

It takes up less space than wintoddler desktop icons

I'd just like to interject for a moment. What you're referring to as Linux,
is in fact, GNU/Linux, or as I've recently taken to calling it, GNU plus Linux.
Linux is not an operating system unto itself, but rather another free component
of a fully functioning GNU system made useful by the GNU corelibs, shell
utilities and vital system components comprising a full OS as defined by POSIX.

Many computer users run a modified version of the GNU system every day,
without realizing it. Through a peculiar turn of events, the version of GNU
which is widely used today is often called "Linux", and many of its users are
not aware that it is basically the GNU system, developed by the GNU Project.

There really is a Linux, and these people are using it, but it is just a
part of the system they use. Linux is the kernel: the program in the system
that allocates the machine's resources to the other programs that you run.
The kernel is an essential part of an operating system, but useless by itself;
it can only function in the context of a complete operating system. Linux is
normally used in combination with the GNU operating system: the whole system
is basically GNU with Linux added, or GNU/Linux. All the so-called "Linux"
distributions are really distributions of GNU/Linux.
