I'm pretty sure it only affects S9/S9+ and S8/S8+ if you're on the latest firmware with messages version 5.x. I'm on S8 and 2 OTAs behind (messages 4.4) because they disabled firmware downgrading with the latest update (unless you want to trip knox).
