whats a fun visual novel or dating sim on steam? something with a lot of "gameplay" or choices, not one where you're just clicking for 30 minutes, get 1 choice, and then clicking 30 more minutes. idc if the gameplay is just tetris or some shit

slavemaker. It's not on steam.

how to summon succubutt?

Is Privacy badger redundant with UBlock Origin already installed?

Why don't you guys do /qtddtot/ like every other time?
I'm moving somewhere i have to use wifi and i need a wifi adapter for my already built PC. The place i'm moving to is an older house with mostly solid concrete construction and the router is about 50 feet away from my computer with 3 walls between the router and my computer.
Do you guys think a TP-Link Archer T6E AC1300 would be enough or should i just shell out the extra 10 for the T9E AC1900?

looked it up, apparently the 3rd one is the last one to come out? I cant find a proper dl link but I'll keep looking, thanks bud

Does MS Office require an internet connection after initial product activation - ie. for periodically checking that the product key is still valid?

Client has a computer that needs to be always offline and wants a productivity suite installed in it, going with MS for compatibility reasons.

>/qtddtot/
"questionst that don't deserve their own thread" is a shitty, bloated, and disgustingly euphemistic name. "stupid questions thread" is succinct and to the point.

Yes. Remember to enable all the filter lists in UBO.

nhentai.net

Little Busters is very fun IMO. It has a lot of reading but also various minigames etc along the way.

The best choice would be Baldr Sky Dive, it's ridiculously good, but it's not translated yet.

searched for it, and no results

Why is it that Applel doesn't just make their OS a more public thing, and actually sell copies?
I don't want Windows, too retarded for Linux, but don't want to sell my kidney and a leg and arm to afford bottom of the barrel Applel computer desu

>Remember to enable all the filter lists in UBO.
You mean at least one from each category? That's what I have been using.

Most people use search or ctrl+f so you're just making this less accessible.

Every board I go on that has one of these calls it /sqt/.

What is the name of music visualizer in pic related ?

That would mean developing drivers for a much broader range of hardware than what they sell, which would drain the already spooky skeleton-tier resources they spend on software

looks like ncmpcpp

Ubuntu is just as easy as MacOS. Did a Jow Forumsentooman convince you to try some obscure distro as your first?

3 concrete walls? A better investment would be a masonry drill and a roll of CAT6.

So far I've tried Ubuntu, Mint, and Elementary
Ubuntu was alright, just a bit off-putting for CLI
Mint was outright confusing
Elementary was pretty neat

Windows does an excellent job of running on any PC hardware you throw at it. Heck, Windows 10 will run on most anything from the past decade. Linux does almost as good a job of it these days, and extends to even older hardware due to the existence of very lightweight desktop environments. OS X runs very well on Apple hardware, or on PCs made with parts similar enough to Apple's -- but making it work on most PCs would take tons of dev effort.

It would also mean they can't make so much selling overpriced hardware.

Ubuntu really doesn't need any CLI use unless you want to poke around inside it or run into a problem and need that to fix it.

I get one bar of 4g at work. How come I can stream HBO Go and Crunchyroll but can't load a twitch clip/Twitter video or other random browsing to save my life

The 1 bar you have is just the fast lane. You only get sites that paid for fast lane access.

I want to fuck Rustle's creations

Continuation of and I've finished my backup. The tech guy called and told me that the keyword had problem. If he presses A, it will be repeated many times. He told me that using an external keyboard is fine. The cost for replacing the keyboard is around 30+ bucks. I have a spare keyboard, but it's PS/2 so I need to buy a PS/2 to USB converter, it's cheap. Any advice? Should I replace the keyboard or just use that spare keyboard. I very seldom take my laptop anywhere. I also consider buying a new one at the end of the year. I bought this one end of Dec 2015, it was a discount price for year end sales.

I have several applications that get input from the microphone.
I want to play certain audio files and have their output get redirected to the microphone so that these applications can "listen" to it.
How do I accomplish this? ALSA loopback is a no-go, because that will capture every thing.

I have pic related and was wondering if one outtake fan on the back is safe. The case has tons of holes to intake air so I feel like it would work alright.

Attached: 51DZBuyfbNL.jpg (318x500, 38K)

Stupid shitty way: Output everything you want to go into the mic to a secondary output, either another jack on a card or a second device. Then run an aux wire from that to line in, and set that as the capture device.

I do think you can do up some clusterfuck of an .asoundrc using pcm.writefile and a capture.pcm with a slave with infile. Use mkfifo to make a pipe, then make a pcm.writefile device that dumps its sounds into that pipe. Then make a capture.pcm device that reads that pipe. Direct programs that should play into the fake mic to use the writefile device (with a mixer device over it to allow more than one program at a time), and tell the program that should use the microphone to use the infile device.

How much dust is there around, and do you like dust in your PC? Cases usually have filters on intakes, so intake fans will pull air through those. But if you have more exhaust fans than intake fans, you're also drawing through other non-filtered holes as well.

I have 2 250 gigs SSDs, one is a Pro SATA and one is an Evo M.2, one for games installation and one strictly for Windows installation. Which one should I install my games on? I download lots of junks and torrent a bunch so I don't know if I really should install windows on the Evo considering its lower write cycle (does saving files straight to an external hard drive still create temporary files in the window drive?) But on the other hand I want to eek out that extra speed provided with the M.2 (faster loading time for games is not a bad idea either but my autism want me to install windows on the M.2).

I do have a lot of dust (pets) But I have a high powered dust vacuum that I use regularly on my computer, so I feel like it wouldn't be an issue.

I would like to stay to hardware solutions.
Second suggestion looks promising. I'll try that next.
Can JACK help with this?

I doubt it, thats why they let you activate by phone, for machines that are offline.

Most ISP's have caching proxies for popular sites, such as streaming, so not a lot of hops will be needed.

Well you can't because they are just drawings and not real (certainly not images based off of real peoples).

My laptop's fan starts a bit while booting then stops and never starts again, I ran speedfan and the laptop's temp rise up to 91 ºC then then the laptop turns of.

how can I tell if it's the motherboard or the fan?

If you're actually serious you start by learning how computers operate and interpret instructions and then find ways to make a computer operate and interpret instructions in a way it wasn't designed to. Playing "wargames" is a way to keep the learning fun. They're simulated websites or terminals that have been setup to have well known security vulnerabilities to teach you what to look for and how to avoid common traps when you're programming these things. overthewire.org/wargames is a decent site.

Yup, most definitely wholly original artwork.

If it starts up then it's most likely a software problem. What's you OS? Did you try another one?

HunniePop is the best one I've played. Doki Doki Literature Club was shit.

See if the bios tell you what RPM the fan is supposedly running at. If says a non-zero value it's probably the mobo.

When does the impostor syndrome ends? 2 years of experience (with promos) and i still feel like my work is bad.

The click to run version of MS Office is the most common and requires periodic license checks since they're based on the user account.
The license key version forgoes that but I haven't use such a version of MS O to you any more details.

Keep OS installations on SATA because moving SATA drives from one machine to another, in case of whatever, is easier than fiddling with M.2.
As for the temp files, I think it depends on the application. I notice browsers nowadays download files first before asking you where to store and then copy the whole file to the final destination.

Caps Lock is now working as Escape key, but problem is now that i can not use Caps Lock normally anymore. I just can't seem to figure out what alternative key would be comfy to use as Caps Lock.

>using caps lock

Yeah, it's kinda random. I'll settle with windows on SATA then, appreciate it!

It ends when you come to the realization that everyone either feels like you or is an idiot and thinks their work is amazing. Your coworkers probably don't know what their doing either. Same with your boss and their boss. Everyone is just winging it and imposer syndrome is thinking it's just you.

No tracing of its kind detected no sir none

I have switched my caps and esc for vim usage. worth it.

how do I siterip Femjoy? I bought a subscription but it's getting incredibly tedious to manually download all zipped galleries and movies. I have only downloaded 128 models and there are 1615 models on that website

i'm trying to fix a mac desktop, kernel panics with a type 14 "page error"

I wanted to do the ctrl-d diagnosis but it crashes before it can even launch

depends how the website is setup, try wget or httrack
since it's a site you log into, you'll need to use a logged-in cookie from your browser (if you're wondering how you're supposed to log in using a non-browser tool)

I've seen the comparison and it's almost 1 for 1. I don't care at all.

im having problems with kik, basically when i try to scan a code an error pops up, i tried reinstalling the app but it didnt work, what can i do?

I'm pretty sure my SD card has a virus. I've formatted it multiple times but this always what appears with only 45.8 MB space. I think there's a hidden partition but I'm unsure of how to get rid of it.

Attached: sd.jpg (538x283, 21K)

did you check the "show hidden files" box

A few inaccessible ("refers to a location that is unavailable"/"is not accessible") folders show up with that on.

satan trips needs help

My laptop battery is fully shot now and doesn't hold charge for even 5 seconds. For the longest while after the battery first crapped out I got about 10 minutes of life which allowed me to move from point A to B without having to shutdown and reboot. Is there anything I can do (besides buying a new battery) to give it a little life again? Just need that 10 minutes back.

>virus
No, it's just broken. Buy a new one.

That looks like corruption, buy a new one, or DBAN/bleachbit it.

Not without a knife, just buy a chink one if you only need 10 minutes.

>10 minutes
doubt it, if it degraded that much it would completely stop working before going below the 1 hour line

something else inside the laptop might be broken

Will any network card be able to connect wirelessly to my internet or will I need to get ones that can specifically do so?

Well that sucks. Thanks.

Are there any decent mp3 players that can stream, bonus for bluetooth? Sick of bringing huegphone to the gym for music.

>if it degraded that much it would completely stop working before going below the 1 hour line
It didn't though. When it was brand new I got 3+ hours of heavy use. Slowly degraded over time but seemed to get to a point where 10 minutes was the max and stayed that way for a while.
Yeah I guess I'll just get a new laptop since this one is on its death bed anyway. Will use it as a server/media hub or something until it dies

Not really. Plus you'll likely want to bring your huegphone anyhow.

Just mount your phone better. Tape it to your tits or use an upper arm bag or whatever, it's even easier than using a walkman or whatever was.

How can I set up a domain in my home network?
I just want to access my Media PC from my smartphone without having to punch in the IP

Add hostname to router, under dhcp(d) static leases or whatever it is in yours. Alternatively, tell the same dhcp server / re-director to accept host names that the hosts themselves suggest at the time when they contact it.

Or make use of some protocol like WINS from SMB [windows network sharing]:
samba.org/samba/docs/using_samba/ch07.html - that also allows to use hostnames.

Buy a domain and point it to your home server.

Why is everyone so inclined in learning C around here? Does it still have a future or is it because Jow Forums average age is around 22 and everyone that posts stuff here is a college student/NEET?

Attached: C.jpg (196x258, 8K)

Buy a raspberry pi, set up pi.hole as DHCP and add custom DNS entries to your servers.

You can also set up a CA if you're not a brainlet, install the root cert on all your devices and enjoy HTTPS on your home network.

Mostly because the linux kernel is C only.

My question is kind of similar to this. Can I create a windows server to store all of my media (music and videos) so that I can let other devices connect to it and stream/download them? Are there any guides that I can find to get this kind of thing done?

I need to buy a new HDD, what brand should I get and is there anything else I need to know? (RPM, blue, red, green version or whatever, etc.)

how do i resolve

also bandwagoning on this question.

Clean it.

That's a linux question.

Regardless of OS people don't have confidence that you can do this yourself.
This isn't varnishing your retarded dad's table. You're asking a dumb question.
Because the answers are on youtube.

You can find them, you're a big boy.

Which GNU/Linux distribution should I put on a 10 year old laptop? Intending to use it for programming, mainly.

its clean, thats not the problem

Mint.
Or if you don't mind jumping into the deep end you should find a redhat like fedora.

But they're basipally the same.

>Noob teir ubuntu.

Are there any free providers of Canadian phone numbers that accept SMS Short codes? I'm too poor to afford a phone and got locked out of an account that wants to verify with an SMS (google). Fongo doesn't accept them apparently.
