>I really, really wish I could recommend these. They look pretty and the bass is really fun and they’re not unreasonably priced, but they’re so astoundingly unpleasant to listen to that I can’t imagine too many people enjoying these. If the M1060C is someone’s first experience to nicer headphones and don’t really have too much of a baseline to compare these to, the painful, unnatural midrange may not bother them, but I cannot in good faith tell anybody to purchase these without listening to them.
>not taking off the cups, and putting velor pads on them to bring the mids up lol @ that retard

>The 1.3k and 1.7k walls are not surprising; they legitimately sound like ringing, not unlike the M1060 had around 4kHz. Except at least that was in an area thatwasn’tpainful and raised. In the M1060C, the ringing happens to be in an area that is already raised, so it’s double the pain. lol it rings even worse than the m1060
>Type of headphone Over-ear, but as small as possible
>Open or closed Closed, they're for outdoor use (way to work, office)
>Comfort level As comfy as possible
>Sound signature Preferably warm.
>Past headphones I've only been using IEMs for mobile use so far. I'm currently using the Soundmagic E10, but have grown tired of in-ears.
Sound quality isn't THAT important, i just want comfy, rather small but over-ear, foldable headphones that don't get too warm during summer. Doesn't matter if cable or bluetooth.
>Verum Sonus >the same guy who likes m50x's >the same guy who did the fuzor mod wrong, and blamed the headphone (which is fine, the m1060 is garbage unmodded) >the same guy who likes grados >the same guy who didn't like the Stax 2170 >the same guy likes AKG headphones
Normies who have friends and regularly exercise wear those user Not like you would know that.. lol

Does anyone know a high-quality method of making my audio quieter? My Sennheiser HD6XX, fed from my motherboard's onboard audio, gets too loud at around 4% volume. I have to use volume sliders to lower the volume of fucking everything (youtube, foobar, etc) so I don't go deaf.
I have some resistors and 3.5mm jacks laying around but apparently that introduces issues. Is there any proper device to introduce between motherboard and headphones to lower the volume?

maybe equalizer apo and peace plugin .preamp option on them
>Superlux Evo 681 Cheap but pretty damn great >HyperX Cloud IIs Best headset you can buy under $200 >Playstation Golds Nice because of wireless and using for ps4/ps3/pc >Sennheiser 598 Good all around

Finally got my o2 and d30, I've got several questions for you guys. -Should I use it with gain enabled or disabled? Headphones are 598s -How are you managing to adjust the volume with a knob? It's been like an hour and I had to change the volume 20 fucking times or so, and all I did was listening to some music, talking to a friend and watching several dumb videos on youtube. I can't imagine my daily workflow (work as in neet, not as in actually working) being interrupted every 2 minutes to get my hands off keyboard and mouse to adjust the volume.
Not really, the point of a dac/amp is more volume and separation from noisy parts inside the case. Most people see the tactile volume control as a benefit, but since it seems you don't like it, using digital doesn't really hurt anything either.

What happened to his jaw? Where did it go? Did he lose it?
Hey Jow Forumsuys. I've recently notice a rattling sound in the bass range of my HD 598SE.I did the Bass shaker test here:audiocheck.net/soundtests_headphones.php to make sure it wasn't just my music. I also tried on several devices and even tried cleaning them with compressed air. Then I tried my other headphones and I also hear slight bass rattling, but not as bad. Are all of my headphones broken or has my hearing just leveled up and now i can hear how low quality they really are? Please help, this is driving me nuts.

Only use the high gain if you need it, as in your headphones are so insensitive that they don't go loud enough otherwise. I don't expect you'll actually need it with 598s.
I have an O2 as well and I actually like having a volume knob. I find it much more convenient personally >all-around volume control in the same place, this generally means I can set and forget all the different digital volume controls and just use this one >it's a physical knob, as such I always know at a glance how loud it is

just bought some sony headphones MDR-EX14AP for like 10 dollars. I really don't care about the specs, i am new at these things. Did I make a good choice or did I get memed?
>Budget 50€ >Location France >Source To my computer, by jack or USB >Type of headphone Full-sized >Open or closed Closed >Comfort level Would be great if i can keep them with ~7h on without my having a headache >Sound signature dont give a fuck >Past headphones Planatronics RIG. Too fragile, I rage often, the mic was terrible shit.
>>all-around volume control in the same place, this generally means I can set and forget all the different digital volume controls and just use this one Maybe it's just me being autistic, but I do more than one audio-generating thing pretty often, for example - listening to music and talking with friends or playing a game and watching videos on the internet. Different mics, different types of music, different videos - I really like the ability to just scroll up or down with my mouse wheel on any application to quickly adjust it's volume. As for the general, system volume - I barely touch it ever. Now, that I got o2, I'm trying to keep both system and the application that's supposed to be the loudest at 100%, but I'm failing miserably. >>it's a physical knob, as such I always know at a glance how loud it is pic related is my setup, keeping my system volume at fixed level, mpv default volume at 50 and adjusting applications with mouse scroll usually gives me enough control that I never get ear raped no matter how dumb and loud is the new video one of my friends send me.
I don't really do anything with multiple sources other than talking to friends and playing a game, in which case I adjust each game's volume once so it's at the proper level in relation to the VOIP application and after that I use the volume knob if I want everything quieter or louder. Different use cases I guess. I got tired of fiddling with multiple levels of digital volume controls all over the place, so I try to keep them untouched as much as possible after setting them up once.

Should I get the beyerdynamic dt770 80ohm, or is there a better closed headphone for around this price?
>that wall of mud in the bass >no mids, smothered in shrill treble and muddy bass >the cliff of ringing treble in the highs they measure like shit, they sound like shit, end of story

I bought them after, it pretty much improves on everything besides tonality. I'll listen to either one of them depending on mood.

Planars don't get good until they're the same price as estats, at which point just buy an estat. HE4XX is better than the other two you listed. They're competitive with dynamics in the same price range and even a hundred or two above depending on your taste. Rest is garbage.
