Im 30 now. No friends. Where can i find people and meet them other than job?

I went to a Jow Forums related book club, but it was mainly a bunch of basedboys.

I'm kind of in the same boat. I'm 27 and going into my final year at UC San Diego. The age difference is ridiculous between myself and the majority of the students but I have a few people talk too. No idea how to make actual friends once I'm out of school.

How often do people dream?
I sleep about 8.5 hours a day, long enough to get into REM sleep and have dreams. But on average, in the course of a year, I have maybe 10 dreams, and maybe only remember about 3 of them.
I'm not saying like "I dream a whole bunch, but I forget as soon as I wake up", I mean more like "when I sleep, nothing happens, waking up is a seamless fade in from dark".
For at least 1/3rd of any given day, my brain may as well not be working.
In that amount of time, no one misses me, right?
I figure, going into the big sleep wouldn't be any different. The only problem is that I'm too much of a pussy to actually kill myself.
I'd give anything at all, for some horrible accident to befall me and take me away, just as long as I don't have to deal with waking consciousness. Make me a vegetable for all I care, it'd serve the same purpose.

Ok i let me correct myself. Im 30 no job but i do have pursuing education and investments, basically work from home, still live with parents. Parents say that i can meet people with a parttime job. Last jobs i took were toxic enviroments. Pretty much my life is lame because i have no social life. Im almost going to jump the shark and start working on cruise ships to work and find hookups.

Shit, well i guess its just make money and become regular at strip clubs. At least i can buy attention.

Where do you live if I may ask? What you could try to do is research the dominant industries in your area, see what pays the most and how long it would take to get certification/skills/whatever to get employed in that field of work. Also, save your money. Personally, I don't see the appeal of spending hard earned money in strip clubs so I would rather build up some saving to use for future gains.

Place between ohio and illinois. It sucks here. But what sucks more is that the people i know or thought were friends are out moving on partying it up. I feel cheated amd like a chump for the past 10 years.
