Jow Forumsuts thread

Didn’t see a guts thread in the catalogue, so I thought I’d make one. Let’s have a fun thread, everyone!

What is fun?

who are these threads for?
it seems so insecure

Something we aren't allowed to have

Never understood the hate for guts thread but yet there is constantly threads for showing off tech products and lets not forget the repetitive BST thats always filled with the same shit, but at least its always active. I like seeing guts, but only issue is the idiots who talk shit about others when they don't even bother quoting their own build or have the balls to post a pic of theirs.

how am I talking shit?
how can you expect me to post shit as if I hold any of your values, while I just explained why I don't understand these threads

I clearly didn't say you are talking shit? Maybe its actually just you that is insecure though.

about what though?
please try to sound less desperate for any form of human interaction

Jesus man why are you being so defensive? All I said is I don't understand the hate for the guts thread when there are a ton of other threads exactly like it and no one hates those. I said nothing about you being the one talking shit, I said thats >>>MY

Good work. I like the cables but I'm not a fan of LEDs.

Decent cable management. Not a fan of LEDs and mismatching fans.

Why do people always use negative pressure setups like this

Because its more efficient. I watched videos about it. The CPU dissipates less heat.

I used to do it because it would eliminate a hot pocket I get from my gpu

why do you have a brown power supply fan and MSI CPU cooler?

Used to do custom loops back when i had a 3930k and a MoRa 1080 but it just lost it's value once intel stopped fucking soldering.

Only photo I have. Sorely tempted to change to a white Sugo SG13

Attached: 20180106_162558-1.jpg (1841x2716, 3.12M)

>intake using the small fan and exhaust using the large one

200mm exhaust, 2*80mm and 2*92mm intakes. Clears out hot pockets under the gpu

This. Are you tempted to swap Because of thermals? Seems like a bizarre setup.

No, I don't like the white card, with the black case, and it's pretty big. Thermals are fine that way

Four intake, excluding PSU
One exhaust, excluding GPU
Will a fan at the top improve temps CPU and board temps? Please respond

Is this filled enough?

Sup boys, how are you holding up in the hell of summer?
Hit over 20c yesterday in the shadow, I'm about ready to die.

Winter pls come back. Pls.

Attached: gutsu.jpg (1596x3152, 1.39M)

30c should be average, if it's below that then it better be because winter or you're a fucking idiot killing your ac to achieve below 20c on your pc.

What?
I wasn't talking about cpu temp, I run custom water and only a moderate overclock, pc temps are fine.

aw yea

Not good, about 78f in my room. AC is too damn expensive

Out with the old in with the new

Attached: Old_New.png (664x748, 835K)

You already passed the timeframe for a good pricing, around May is when they should be at the cheapest. I got a 9000btu split unit last year for ~300€, and didn't even need to have it installed for me, did it myself and an extra pair of hands in one Saturday.

Yea, I feel you. About the same here.
I actually made a ghetto AC the other day in desperation. Took the garden hose in the window, ran it through my big 9x120mm rad with fans on 5v when it's not too bad, 12v when its hell.

It is not enough to keep the entire room cool, but it gets nice and chilly by the desk, so I survive.

Been building rigs for almost 20 years and Noctua is the only company where I truly feel like I'm getting my money's worth. I f'n love Noctua.

>all those right angles
Rip your flow bro.
Looks gud
Flash, OFF

Better than a cluttered one so there can be airflow.

Yeah, nothing like trying to generate airflow in a huge fucking hangar. Small cases get nice airflow because the fans are all linearly arranged, that case will be full of eddies and hot pockets

The amount of flow those right angles impede on a DDC pump is like a drop of water in the ocean.

my pc's guts

Attached: IMG_20170301_152357.jpg (4208x3120, 3.59M)

this is misleading because most people won't run their pumps above 50% due to noise. a single cpu block in the link reduces the flow by as much as 50% and thats before any additional parts such as radiators and angle fittings.

the problem with the d5 at high speeds is that even if you decouple the pump completely using foam it still makes an awful, penetrating noise that isn't pleasant to the ear.

i hate to be that guy but the article isn't scientific at all and it was obviously written so you buy more of their fittings.

Very clean looking, but the black tubing for the cooler looks a bit out of place with the white cables. I think they make white sleeving for water cooler, you should get some.
What are temps like with that cooler?
What case is that? I like the drive bays.

answer my question regarding top fans

Attached: 20180630_112345.jpg (4032x2268, 2.67M)

I like the look of this GPU but its almost definitely a shitty low-end GPU, actually yep it is, it only has 6pin power connector. Probably a 1060 at best. Fucking poorfags.

Thinking of doing a new build soon. Most likely no window or caring about matching parts this time.

I wasn't talking cpu temp either. I'm assuming you mean't water temps.

>What are temps like with that cooler?
It's a Be Quiet Dark Rock Pro 3 with the cover plate and front fan removed, so I guess it would be similar to yours.

The AMD FX-6200 inside runs at stock clocks, and since the computer is a basic file server, temperatures aren't an issue. I do all my encoding on this bad boy instead (Ryzen 7 1700)

Attached: 2018-07-06 19.46.27.jpg (1500x1068, 489K)

Not user but for starters, take out all the PCIe slot covers and watch your GPU temps drop like a rock.

something that is illegal today, stop asking or they will track you down

My GPU is actually pretty comfy, rarely topping 65c at load. Most of the time its fans are idle.
Are those expansion slot fans an actual meme?

My unit is pretty power efficient, it's just AC currently is through the roof. It's commiefornia so the Edison jew is always at large, my AC bill in a 3 bed room is around 1k a month and that's just to keep the place at 76f.

do not bully me

My case is CoolerMaster COSMOS 2.

Reddit get the FUCK OUT

Your cable management is aids

OP, why u have smol cpu heatsink?
Does it represent the size of yo dick?

Attached: IMG_20180625_124940451.jpg (2000x1500, 917K)

The grating in front of those fans looks highly restrictive.

Can it not fit a tower CPU cooler?

6 intake, zero exhaust?

155mm max height for cpu coolers

Heat gets pushed out from top passively

got one of these cases laying around, gonna try modding it for fitting a 240 rad

I'd take 3 off those fans and make them exhaust user. This is just retarded for airflow.

>155mm max height for cpu coolers

Hahaha. Bai8ted.

Attached: maxresdefault.jpg (1920x1080, 97K)

Not the absolute best, but it's still nice.
What case is that by the way?

i think its dying.

Attached: crop.jpg (1529x1043, 200K)

How do we save her?

i have no fucking idea.

Clean that shit you dirty nigger

what, whats so dirty? i dont see DIRT anywhere

good or bad

Attached: Untitled.jpg (3000x1000, 639K)

bottom exhaust cracks me up everytime

what am i supposed to do, INTAKE?

Are those heat sinks on top of your GPU?

yes, they work very well, bought on Bay

sir, I like your compooter

Looks fine to me, pristine

How do you like your Cosmos 2? Personally I had a gutfull of the size and weight of mine, and transferred everything into a Corsair 400C. Now my case is empty and cleaned, but still takes up space in the corner of the room lol.
The Cosmos build quality is fantastic, I'll give it that, and I guess it'd make a neat case for a small server setup with a shit load of storage.

Attached: 20180511_202659.jpg (3409x1960, 3.59M)

I'd completely ignore this user and let positive pressure do its thing.

>tfw when no one is gonna rate it but instead bash the picture orientation

If I had a better case the cable management would be way more heat than that, I did the best I could.

Thernaltake Versa H15. Solid aesthetically, horrible for cable management.

Please no bulli, that mess at the bottom is mostly because of my wireless adapter having an overly long cable which messes everything up.

Attached: PC.jpg (1728x2464, 877K)

turn off the flash, user.

I'll keep that in mind for next time, but I can't take a new photo right now.

I really have the urge to build a custom loop cooled X-Fire/SLI machine in one of these. It's about the smallest mass produced enclosure I could find that supports a pair of cards and a pair of 240 rads. I think the HDDs would have to go to make room for a pump/res though.
