Bulge at the bottom of a new MBP

My housemate was given a brand new MacBook Pro (no touch bar) from his work yesterday. We realized that it has this bulge underneath.

Should he be concerned? Anything about getting onto airplanes, performance issues, explosions?

Tell your life partner that he needs to put it back into the box, take it back to work and tell them it's defective

Battery is going bananas, replace it

This, I had the same issue, take the battery out.

>take the battery out
What do you mean by this? How is it gonna work without the battery?

OP here.

Just tried pushing it down, and it popped in with a click. It all looks flush now.

We wouldn't bother if we were to find it like this in the first place. Should we still be concerned, though? Why was it popped out like that?

>only has USB C ports

It's pretty fucking new, user.

>battery is glued on the chassis

Holy shit user read the thread, either the battery is going bad and is starting to expand

OR it was bent by someone and you just bent it backwards

>"if I don't look at it, maybe it will go away" syndrome
I hope you have house insurance.

The ABSOLUTE state of mactoddlers.

>macshit

Your battery is faulty and has expanded. If you compress it down, very ugly things can happen:

This will be OPs laptop in a few months

Its, like, a FEATURE, dude.

Not being funny here but have you tried pushing it back in? Lol

I've had laptops shipped to me where the bezels weren't completely clicked in from the assembly line before, so I wouldn't worry.

But if you are worried, send it back...

Try chewing on it.

should have bought an iMac. They dont fall apart like the cheep 'Pro' line shit, No, Sir. Fucking sticky sticky tape they use there, see?
