Bitlocker is MS product

>bitlocker is MS product
>xbox is a MS product
>xbox support external HD
>xbox DOESN'T support external HD WITH bitlocker

Why do big techs do this?

Because no two divisions/departments talk to one another.

Why? Aren't they supposed to make money by making their product be more reliable and increase it's use in the market? How hard would even be to implement such feature?
>xbox detected HD
>oh shit i cant read
>"here, try this"
>initiate checkIfItsBitLocker.exe
>emulate windows
Did i oversimplified or are they just that retarded they can't do this?

I just dont want to buy another computer just for my smartTV. Also,
>fighting for a small share of the market that its more likely to trust apple with their data anyway

Companies like MS aren't operating like one giant firm.

They are more like a legal roof for a lot of different smaller companies.

why would you bitlocker an xbox drive are you literally retarded

1. It's a placebo.
2. For what purpose?

>bitlocker for xbox
for what fucking purpose

(checked)
Watching videos on tv

Why do you need a hard disk with bitlocker enabled to watch videos on TV?

Because the videos aren't the only thing in the HD and most of them aren't easy to stream on internet in HQ

Isn't bitlocker a Pro/Enterprise/Server only feature?
It's stupid don't get me wrong but I don't see a reason why it should exist on xbox as the games themselves are already encrypted.

bitlocker is hard disk encryption, what does that have to do with videos?

Yes for vista and 7, but no for 10, standart 10 already have both BL and BL "to go", so you'd think that they want to spread its usage, and would help if they could make their products compatible
I'm using a external HD

The videos are in the external HD, which is encrypted

Bump

Bitlocker requires the use of a TPM doesn't it? They probably did put a TBM in in xbox because 99.9% of wouldn't care about it and it adds cost to a low-margin product.

didn't put*

XBOX Dashboard is based on the Windows NT Kernel, which means the deliberately removed the Bitlocker feature when using NT to create XBOX's OS

Why the fuck would you need to encrypt your games?

more like shitlocker

You could have prevented this

>doesn't want to buy a computer just for his tv
>owns xbox

>encrypting your gaymes
is this peak freetard

>live in shame
*not exist with no emotion

*tips fedora*

>windows phone 7 is MS product
>windows phone 8 is a MS product
>windows phone 7 support metro apps
>windows phone 8 support metro apps
>windows phone 7 DOESN'T support upgrade to windows phone 8

Why are you complicating your life with these botnet game consoles and placebo-encryption on an external hard drive? (I am certain you have loaded your external drive with either pirated movies or CP)

None of this OS feature-support sleuthing is going to help you weasel your encrypted drive into the Xbox One. You should just drop everything and kill yourself.
