Do you guys prefer 1080p/144hz or 1440p/60hz ?

76.2 hz is ideal

why is that?

i prefer 1440p@120hzULMB

Attached: ulmb_motion_blur_from_persistence.png (655x600, 53K)

it was determined by adjusting the refresh rate on my monitor until my eyes felt the least discomfort

I prefer your mom

As a gamer I feel the higher the fps the better I game.

The human ocular gland can only perceive 30hz

>24fps

>manginas ITT

the human nose can not hear more than 17 hertz per tooth

The strobe shit, ULMB has hurt my eyes.
Is Lightboost shit any better?

144hz, easily.
Remember, it's not just smoothness of motion, it also reduces delay between input and seeing it on the screen.

i don't think so, it's basically the same tech, but ulmb is more advanced.
if your eyes are that sensitive, 240hz without strobing is your best bet for reduced motion blur

1080p 240hz

So let me ask some basic question.
1080 = 1920(columns of pixels) * 1080(rows of pixels) ~= 2 million pixels.

LCD = Liquid Crystal Display is the latest technology available for pixel on display.

144hz = 144 cycles per seconds.
so In one seconds 144 * 2 million pixels are illuminated.

For a frame what decisions are made to illuminate individual pixel?
Is it like sequentially go through 0

The only option is 4k 240hz IPS G-Sync you fucking plebs.

>ips
no thanks

Epic Windows, fellow gamer. What's your gamertag?

One day man, one day...In like 10 years we might have that under $1k (or wayyy better stuff will be out)

what is it suppose to prove ?

1440p 165hz, seriously even comparing 144hz vs 165hz is a huge difference. just moving the cursor feels better than watching porn

2160p/60hz or 1440p/144hz. Those are the only options.

>just moving the cursor feels better than watching porn
You know they make gay porn if the straight stuff isn't doing it for you?

In my experience overclocking from 60 to 72 on my old samsung monitor made a noticeable difference. Having difficulties noticing any from 120 to 144.

1024x768 120hz is best

probably that if you buy the cheapest IPS panel possible it's going to suck
the good ones are only little worse or on par with TN

1440p is pointless when you have 2x 1080p monitors. You're sitting so close to your screen that you barely see the benefits if you're watching a movie.

If you're buying 1440p for the screen space then you need to learn proper window management. Silk smooth movement is FAR GREATER than muh big dumb resolution

4k @ 30fps

>people buy IPS panels for contrast and viewing angle distortion with visible vibrancy differences in reviews if they care to seek reviews online for every monitor
>this faggot comes in with this irrelevant shit
Are you retarded?

1680x1050 at 72Hz is the Chad's resolution.

none of the above

>using some old 120hz tn panel
Is the ulmb meme worth it?

Attached: monitor.jpg (1565x2160, 607K)

the one with best colour

480? how?

I think 1440p@144hz is comfy. Might upgrade to 4k@120hz if and when there's a reasonably priced option and if and when the gtx 1280ti comes out

1080p @62hz

1440P 120Hz

I prefer not being autistic and just play the fucking game

Back to /v/ kiddo

1080p/144Hz for fast action games like Quake Champions, TF2, QL, OW
1440p/60Hz for everything else

t. 1080p/144Hz
