I'd try that before anything else. If you're in Europe, 2yr warranty is a given. Else, do check. They might also sell replacement parts outright like Sennheiser do, so you'd be OK even out of warranty.

looking for some sub-$50 IEMs for use at the gym. I had some cheap shit from best buy and they clogged with earwax after two uses and they couldn't produce any sound for half my workout yesterday which is quite shit. My ears aren't even that waxy but the sweat makes it a bit more fluid I suppose. Never had this issue before.

Anyway, anybody have some reccomendations? I couldn't find the /csg/ guide the IEM guides in the wiki are somewhat out of date

Yeah, I'm leaning more and more towards it. I need it kind of urgently because my G430 is actually falling apart. The part where the headband connects to the can is only reinforced by plastic and that's broken with normal wear. So every now and then the headphone just falls out. Real quick before I pull the trigger, PC37X vs Hyper X Cloud 2, any opinions?

PC37X is open-back, Cloud 2 is closed-back. Open-back is of course preferable.

I've tried an usb powered one, and got even worse noise. I'm suspecting my videocard or psu is the culprit, alt-tabbing stops the noise for a little bit, and starting a game increases it.

I hate the bass boost, it sounds muddy and bloated as fuck. I almost returned a pair of headphones that I auditioned on them only to discover that I had accidently left the bass boost on, once I had turned them off I thought the headphones were much better.

honestly I can't be too picky during a work out. Typically I have been listening to more of a V shape at home though. Been researching and that one came up as well and the final e2000 have been coming up in that price range. Not sure if my application would lean towards one or the other though
