In gcc inline assembly (C language), how do i pass the start of an array and access it's values? Just use NameOfArray as an input and then use mov instructions with indirect addressing? >es movl (%eax),%ebx

I have Windows 10 on a HDD partition and want to install it on my SSD that I'm about to wipe Win7 from.
Is it possible to quickly transfer all my data to the SSD or am I gonna have to do a quick install and setup. Is it really an effort for the slightly faster SSD speed or should I just turn the SSD into game storage?
Is there a way I can use my android phone as a usb stick to play video on the tv.
Tv does not have smart tv or wireless.
All I have is a usb to micro usb wire.
Leo Williams
>or should I just turn the SSD into game storage Absolutely not. Yes, you do get slightly better load times sticking a game on an SSD, but the major gains come from having general software run off of it. Always prioritize the OS on an SSD, then whatever programs you can fit that you want to be snappy. If you have space left you can throw on games and media files. If you want to stretch what games you fit on an SSD you can manually relocate their large media folders to the HDD with symlinks.
I wouldn't bother reinstalling. Just clone with Macrium Reflect.
William White
>Just clone with Macrium Reflect. Never done image cloning before. I can just clone the OS partition onto the SSD after wiping it? What will become of the original OS on the HDD?
Isaiah Brooks
>got 4k tv >open netflix >decline the $3 a month fee for 4k since I got the tv for 4k games and 4k blu-rays I own >play tv show >doesn't look like tv It's really jarring how regular tv has like added clarity and depth, but it shouldn't be streaming in 4k. Why do the shows look like this?
Asher Harris
Cloning is pretty much what it sounds like. What happens to your original file when you copy it?
Ayden Stewart
Is it possible somehow to have different audio streams on my comptuer to play through two different audio sources?
So i mean like, can i have firefox audio playing through my headphones but FOOBAR playing through my speakers?
Benjamin Gonzalez
You're upscaling.
Juan White
i have a really old hard drive that is very particular about how it is formatted. it will not quick format (yes i know this is not good) it will also not format in ntfs or fat 32 properly
but i was able to create partitions just fine using win 95 master boot disk
is there some compatibility with the partition type i do not know about with older hardware?
Dominic Rivera
Can I toggle upscaling, so it's like I have a 1080 tv instead? I like the comfy tv look over this upscaling.
Levi King
No.
Jackson Taylor
go to the search bar in windows search for cmd highlite it, hold ctrl+shift and press enter cmd prompt will come up in with admin privs, type password if needed in the command prompt type diskpart list disk
there should be a list of drives. find the one you want to format select disk X clean create partition primary select partition 1 active format fs=ntfs quick assign exit exit

How to get stereo mix to show up on my sound settings?
I have show disabled etc on, still nothing Things like OBS and Audacity will record my system but I would like the stereo mix option for other things without having to go through the trouble of virtual audio cables

Redbull me on IT >what qualifications do i need for help desk >how long should i work help desk >is help desk experience enough to get a superior job or do i need more qualifications >what qualifications do i need for sysadmin if help desk experience is not enough >should i become a sysadmin
Being able to breath heavy B.O and heavy curry air Never No Network+,Security+,Linux+ for starters then move to CCP>CCNA>CCIE Are you ok with a salary ceiling of 70k?
Wyatt Morris
Is there any way to remotely power an android phone on via wifi/bluetooth/nfc/something?
Right now got my scripts set up to remotely silence it when I go to bed and unsilence when I wake up as kind of a compromise, but I waste a lot of battery this way when I'm asleep. Would be nicer if I could just turn it off but I'm not sure how to handle turning it back on. I could put it on a timer I guess but that would be annoying if I wake up early or hit the button accidentally or something. Any other good alternatives? I know PCs can have stuff like wireless wake on LAN but not sure what the equivalent for a phone is
Kevin Powell
70k is decent for a cushy job Is there another it job that is just as easy but pays more?
Cameron Parker
>>what qualifications do i need for help desk Depends on the business you are supporting. Minimum would be hardware knowledge, familiar with troubleshooting Windows, basic networking, email. >>how long should i work help desk Maybe a year, if that. >>is help desk experience enough to get a superior job or do i need more qualifications The experience is at least something. Get some certs. Comptia Security+ and Network+ If you like the Security stuff and want to continue down that route, pursue CEH certs. If you like the Network stuff, pursue Cisco certs. >>what qualifications do i need for sysadmin if help desk experience is not enough Dunno. I don't think they know what they do half the time. >>should i become a sysadmin Probably not. I recommend joining the military. If you're in a signal or intel job, you'll have at least a secret clearance, and get great technical training. Also, school is free while you're in, and if you get the GI Bill, you have a ton of cash for school after you get out. Free school, exp, and security clearance means easy to land a job when you get out.
Nathan Lee
No, thats the TOP RATE, not what you will start at. Thats working years and becoming an expert in the field with high level certs(CCIE).
James Ross
Is it really necessary to have both a 3 1/2" and 5 1/4" floppy drive in this day and age? Or can I get by with just the 3 1/2"?

Is there ANY guide for using Selenium with Python that is produced by a white guy?
I cannot read Pajeet guides or listen to them on the youtubes.
I've been asking this for ages for a good replacement for the same exact mouse and never got a satisfactory response.
Chase Robinson
get a naga hex, it has 6 extra buttons
Eli Hill
I stopped using that shit 20 years ago. You didn't spend $200 for a read-only CDROM drive? Do you still have parallel ports on your rig user?
Dominic Hall
he wanted a good sensor tho
Robert Smith
Naga has great sensors. I have a razer chroma now but my naga from like 2010 is what i use with my laptop
Jackson Wood
yeah maybe when compared to $10 mouse from wall mart, but not for gaming mouse.
Aiden Cook
Naga is the standard though... Logitech is shit, they die after a year just like every mouse they ever produce going back a decade. Steelseries is shit
Colton Rogers
what about elecom? they any good?
Jayden Myers
Literal no name company
Christian Young
At least try to pretend you're not a shill lol. Literally everyone knows only deathadder is good razer mouse and everything else is bottom tier trash.
Nicholas Harris
so? that doesn't answer the question
William Gomez
Naga series is the literal definition of an mmo mouse, or if you want keybinds available for CAD or such software.
Camden Reed
That's why I said it has trash sensor and they original guy asked for a good sensor you brainlet. Name one (1) pro fps player who uses a fucking naga.
Carter King
>pro fps They use what ever sponsor pays them and gives them free hardware to promote Are you mentally deficient? You dont need 12 buttons to play an FPS. The sensors are fucking perfect
Wyatt Jackson
lol he never asked for 12 buttons tho you brainlet lmao did you even read his post
Adam Diaz
>I need a mouse with at least 4 thumb buttons (6 maximum) and a competitive gaming sensor And i said get the naga hex, literally has 6 buttons on the thumb and a great sensor
Are you even trying?
Juan Long

Jeremiah Stewart
>claims everything in thread is shit >never once suggested any such mouse with this apparent EPIC LEET HAXXOR SENSOR in it

How do I look up things in anonymously. I know there's vpns and TOR, but I don't know what to use.
Carson Roberts
>How do I look up things in anonymously. I know there's vpns and TOR, but I don't know what to use.
Buy a laptop with cash via craigslist. Buy a thumbdrive with cash via craigslist. Don't use the use the laptop at home, don't use the thumbdrive on any of your other computers. Go to a public wifi spot and download tails. Install that to the thumbdrive. Chuck the HDD in the laptop. Only use public wifi. Boot off of tails, and spoof your MAC each time before you connect. Try to not be in view of a camera when viewing. So stay in the parking lot. Go through the drive through first and get a drink. It looks less suspicious. Don't let you phone connect to the public wifi either. Although, if you're doing something illegal, don't bring it with you at all. Too easy to cross reference cellphone movement with wifi APs.
Nathan Brown
Oh, and use cash at the drive through. Wear sunglasses too. Take the plates off your car and put them in a window. If you get pulled over, tell the cop you just got the plates and need to get the bolts.
Hunter Cruz
What's a more appropriate way of returning data from a function in python? url = reverse('api') data = self.grab_data('data.json') response = self.client.post(url, json.dumps(data), content_type='application/json') special_var = response.json().get('special_var') return special_var
Don't forget to switch the places, where you use the public wifi. Keep things random.
Daniel Evans
is there such thing as a high-spec phone without any of the finger-print scanner, facial recognition stuff?
I just want a good handheld device to use but dont care for the botnet stuff.
Luis Turner
Yep, switch it up. Also public transport is ok if you can pay cash for it. Go to a mall or something, get a coffee, get the wifi password, and then leave. Walk out to a bench that's just within the wifi range. After a few times, you will see patterns for these places and their passwords. The main thing to keep in mind is cash and no phone.
Jaxson Nguyen
>the botnet stuff. That's what a phone is.
Dylan Mitchell
I don't plan to use it as a phone, I want to just use it as a smaller tablet.
Jace Taylor
Hm. I always thought crowded places like malls were less ideal. You never know who might be looking over your shoulder.
Jason Hughes
Looking to get a PC soon, what are the best parts for a 1200 budget?
If it has GPS it will still phone home your location data. Get an older tablet. They're cheap, and don't have a lot of 'botnet' features.
Samuel Phillips
1200 dollars, pounds, potatoes?
Luke White
Depends what you're doing. Going to a cafe the day before to get the wifi code and not using it, and then going back the next day and not going inside, just so you can be nearby and check email isn't going to look suspicious at all to anyone. On lookers will see a person buying a coffee the first day, and a person sitting on a bench checking email the next.
Benjamin Howard
I just got my first amp. It's my dad's old Pioneer with RCA inputs and my modern entertainment center TV only has an digital out port for audio. How viable are digital -> analog audio converters? Is there a significant loss of quality and/or lag?
Cooper Morgan
it's an mmo mouse with a subpar sensor pham

Which should I keep and which should I return? Priority = connection stability. My pc is on wireless and I can't run an Ethernet cable. Every time my family starts watching a movie or something, my ping goes from a steady 40ms to 300 which makes any game unplayable. We have 5mbps and 1 mbps up, and this is unable to be changed. I tried temporarily moving my pc and hardwiring it and the internet became stable even when they were streaming. So ultimately DLink or netgear? I know the DLink model is much newer. But the netgear one has been out for a long time and has quite good reviews. What do?
>hould be a list of drives. find the one you want to format >select disk X >clean >create partition primary >select pa i understand that i can do it in a different way but my point iw to as is there some reason that i can't format it in windows xp with ntfs/ fat 32 but i can use win98 95 for formatting just fine?
Hudson Bennett
Because it is not capitalism, and when something is not capitalism it MUST be communism. And Americans would rather die in a box on the street then ever admit socialism exists.
Benjamin Richardson
I've had drives that didn't cooperate with the GUI tools, but using the terminal worked. After a clean/format/assign in terminal, it worked fine with the GUI tools.
Liam Brooks
I need to host a website which uses ~6GB of storage, since I can't find a free host for it I'll have to host it locally in my own PC. The problem is that I don't want people to know my PC's IP, is there anyway to use something like cloudflare DNS to hide my PC IP?
Cameron Williams
not for me
something in between probably. if you want to be able to read it later don't use that second one.
Lucas Gutierrez
Does a USB-C port automatically mean your laptop has Thunderbolt? Like the ROG Strix GL702ZC?
Was thinking of getting the laptop with the best CPU and maybe thunderbolt an external GPU.
Jaxon Harris
Thats like $5/month bro just get a cheap vps
William Ward
>Does a USB-C port automatically mean your laptop has Thunderbolt? No. Same physical standard =! electrical standard. >Was thinking of getting the laptop with the best CPU and maybe thunderbolt an external GPU. PCIe lane limited, and laggy. For the price, you can get a decent laptop.
Oliver Evans
can someone help please, ffs. Finally I have the money to buy a gaming PC after using shitty laptops for all these years.
Jacob Lopez
>can someone help please, ffs. Finally I have the money to buy a gaming PC after using shitty laptops for all these years. >>PC building? >

Linus seemed to have great success not too long ago.
>Linus seemed to have great success not too long ago. 1200(lowest end razor laptop)+500(GPUdock)+GPUprice and that's not including the lag. Either wait a couple months for the new cards to ship, or get a laptop that already has a card in it. Acer sells one with a 1080 in it for 1600. That's cheaper than the cheapest Razer laptop and the Razor core.
Christian Flores
Alright. Thanks, user.
Isaiah Morris
why don't we just replace micro usb with ethernet? the chad ethernet cable: >can transfer information fast as fuck (1 gigabit per second) >near impossible to accidentally fall out >PoE lets you charge shit with up to 57 volts >impossible to put in upside down because of the locking clip even when not looking at it >durable as shit >thicc cable that will never wear down >designed for use in datacenter >flashy lights on the port the virgin micro usb: >most cables don't even let you transfer data, the ones that do are limited to 12 megabits per second >falls out if you do as much as breath near it >usually limited to 5 volts when charging >50% chance of putting it in upside down without looking at it >will break after just a few weeks of use >flimsy cable that wears down easily >designed to break easily to make you buy more cables >no flashy lights on the port >literally has micro in the name fucking micro usb btfo
Jayden Cox
Thanks for the help, user. Cloned it to SSD and it works flawlessly. I'm a bit paranoid that something might fuck up if I wipe my old HDD partition for space though.
Julian Morgan
>why don't we just replace micro usb with ethernet? Why the fuck would we do that when we have Thunderbolt 3?
Justin Sanchez
are any of you running a linux distro and using portable m-disc drives? what is the situation like for writing discs on linux at the moment? is it possible? currently looking at BDR-XD05S but there are no reviews describing if it works with either m-discs or linux. i suppose if you can write discs on linux there shouldn't be any problem with m-discs specifically.
I need to use an library in my c programm. The library has a Makefile. How can use the library in my programm?
Kayden Carter
Setting up my first PC, windows (For gaymen), is there a good source for set up guides, like a checklist or things to do in what order? I've looked around but all I can find is shitty articles telling you to update windows and install drivers. Was looking for something more in depth.
What exactly do you need to do besides installing your programs?
Camden Torres

No worries. Keep in mind, it's going to be based on not only the devices, but also how your domicile is wired, and the quality of it. Don't use them if you live in an apartment, as anyone else in the apartment could sniff your traffic.
