is this the closest program to scan a harddrive for media files and generate thumbnails? windows deletes them every reboot which is annoying as fuck.

having to wait for your shitposting thumbnails to load is not comfy

fpbp

how slow is your computer? i've literally never had to wait for thumnails to show in my pictures folder longer than maybe a couple hundred milliseconds, and my pictures folder is gigabytes

>miliseconds
which is annoying when you're scrolling to fight the right image. rather have it instant

this, even my shitposting folder has 60000 files, 2000 folder and weights 40gb, but i have no problem whatsoever when loading thumbnails

are you guys using an ssd? pic related pissed me off.

this shit never worked for me.

Yeah, you also have to disable some automatic maintenance thing in task scheduler or something, I forget. Dropped Windows 10 for good after it deleted my thousands upon thousands of furry porn, dolphin genitalia and loli thumbnails with the 1803 update and installed Gentoo.

yes 850 evo

Why would windows be deleting the thumbnails? Did you configure it that way?

>anything anime

good.

it's tough when 2TB+ SSDs are still so expensive

OK value as OS drive, no so much for large storage

yes, when hoarding much data is impossible to have everything on the ssd

It has done so since Windows 8, part of their "automatic maintenance" service, I believe. Microsoft developers have a fraction of the quality control they used to have.

Yet another reason Windows 10 is turd sandwiches.

This is what happens when you employ street shitters.

theres this for specific folders. adds a right click context menu to build thumbnail cache.

>constantly need to delete shit with treesize when downloads folder gets too big
should probably get a bigger hdd but im so lazy to install new hw for my pc.

Oh, so they've been making some "progess" then? My Win7 machine has always been doing this thumbnail cache deletion shit since day 1, only not on every reboot. Still does it often enough to be annoying af - the interval can vary from less than a week to almost a month, but it always does it again.

woah, you have a pretty big chinese cartoon folder. Mind showing me watchu got?

idk what to watch this season. its organized by date modified

>since Windows 8
Since Vista, if you chose to use a central cache.

>windows deletes them every reboot
Stop using libraries, retard. use the real path to your pictures folder.

*SNAP*
Yep, it's truly the best cringe of this summer.

You do realize you're fucking retarded piece of shit?

Not discounting your experience, by stating some snarky
>works for me
But I've never had this issue with Windows 7. I have though in fact, seen this with 8.1 and 10. I do however perform bleachbit optimization on a monthly basis, That usually deletes the existing cache but it is rebuilt upon typical usage. Is this issue mostly prevalent when SSD are in use?

I'm failing to see how this is cringe. Simply anons assortment preference.
