If you do this do you get GPU accelerated audio playback?

Why aren't you playing videos fully rendered on the CPU?

THE ABSOLUTE STATE OF VLCFAGS

mpv is just a gui and config parser for ffmpeg

interpolation = soap opera effect

exactly how many mpv logos are there? My md5 filter is getting full

Why isn't anyone capable of setting up a GUI? Do they not realize that they could get 100 times the users if they just provided an ability to set things up without hunting for a documentation that actually works and explains how the fuck things work? Like, do they get off on making things as inconvenient and cancerous as possible? There is no justification for not having at least play and volume buttons and an interface that allows people to customize keybinds.

Somehow everyone lost interest in video players. There used to be guides for setting up mad vr, but nowadays people just use potplayer or VLC or mpv out of the box.

mpv has excellent documentation. It's actually easier and faster for me to look up certain features. Instead of roaming menus and guessing what the toggle does. Having a config file is how it's so flexible and robust. mpv doesn't cater to the lowest common denominator (yet) and if it's too hard use a frontend.
btw, there is a play and volume button as well as a few others. And mpv has the best keybind customization.

>It's actually easier and faster for me to look up certain features. Instead of roaming menus and guessing what the toggle does.
Is this copy pasta? It must be.

idk, but it's true. ctrl + f is faster and it has a detailed description of the option.

For some reason smooth motion looks more fluid with lower brightness compared to max brightness. This happens in both laptop with madVR and android with mpv, only thing in common is that both are OLED. Is this shit normal?

did I do this right? sorry if I am a brainlet
glsl-shader="C:\mpv\Shaders\noise_static_luma.hook"
glsl-shader="C:\mpv\Shaders\noise_static_chroma.hook"
glsl-shader="C:\mpv\Shaders\FSRCNNX_x2_16-0-4-1.glsl"
scale=ewa_lanczos
glsl-shader="C:\mpv\Shaders\ravu-r4-yuv.hook"
scale=ewa_lanczos
dscale=ewa_lanczos
cscale=ewa_lanczos

forgot key, my mistake
!Hol_FO1HxRKmLJS6DBqXkw

also do u put them in a folder in mpv called shaders to get them to work

yes, that's what I read you're supposed to do anyway

okay keep the s at the end or name it shader

also does the first letter have to be capital

I mean what I read said "shaders" no capital letters or anything so
I already told you Im a brainlet with this shit

So I have a 1070ti now and no matter what settings I use, I drop frames with gpu rendering. I tried a few profiles I found pastebinned, and this guy's
I tried a few things with MadVR too, since I'm more familiar with that, but regardless of settings I was still dropping frames and getting thousands of presentation errors per minute. What the fuck's the deal, and why did it work flawlessly with my old'n'busted 290?

why scale=ewa_lanczos twice?
just try it.

Maybe shit driver?

Werks for me™

I just went back to SMPlayer with mpv+youtube-dl integration once I settled on some settings.

You can pass in all your meme filters and shaders just fine, there is really no downside.

"two fast for my tiny beans old slow down TV lady"

Seems like my problem was actually
video-sync=display-resample
It was causing uneven frame times at best (fast-slow-fast-slow panning) and at worst would occasionally flash black frames or play frames out of order every few seconds. Without it, everything's smooth as fuck and just werks. On the latest Nvidia drivers.

if you didn't use windows you would have this issue

Why don't people just use MPV vanilla?
