Repurpose an obsolete smartphone

the screen is partly burnt so it is not possible to use it as my backup smartphone
the hardware is underpowered that it can barely run android
but the internals are still functioning

It has GPS hardware and a high resolution touch display.

>make it a car entertainment/navigation unit.

don't ask me how.

>navigation unit
well...the edges of the screen is burnt,so its not viable
>car entertainment
sounds nice

Can't your GPS do voice directions?
All we do is ask SIRI to call the corners. Job done. No screeen required.

Wardriving?

Wifi security camera

the camera sucks dick so the recordings will look like being censored

>make it a car entertainment/navigation unit.
Seems like a great idea until you realize your new phone is an even better in-car navigation and entertainment device. And you can even take it with you when you aren't driving.

>what are some interesting things that i can do with it?
cover it in spaghetti sauce and stick it in your butt

I turned my old Windows Phone into a wallclock/photo frame.

If it's rooted you can easily make it boot up as soon as charger sends power. Maybe useful for car use (turn key-boot android) mentioned above or other automated uses.

how to?genuinely interested

every time

more than half of the screen is broken

bump

Mine buttcoin

nothing, smash it or make it an mp3 player

decorative paperweight

small low-powered linux-server with battery
nothing else really

Get a screen replacement? Probably cost less than $10. I'm using mine for navigation and shitpost machine

What is the best way to send an anonymous text message?

>repurpose
reuse

keep it connected to a computer (pc, an openwrt router or something) then enable reverse tethering. then enable remote adb so you'll be able to get a shell from other PCs. that way, it'll keep running while being on the network through the cable
install linux with the "linux deploy" app and run it chrooted
also install a VNC server in either android itself or the chrooted linux
do more stuff with that, e.g. use it to learn ARM assembly lang, to learn more about linux on ARM, or about android itself, etc

this thread makes me realize, for the nth time, how retarded Jow Forums is

btw, the vnc is so that you can use android remotely
