Keyless fob locks concern

So my condo complex is removing our conventional pin tumbler locks and replacing them with new keyless fob locks.

How can I stop these kikes from scraping/data mining my entry/leave or have it turn into another IoT not net node because the management is too retarded to understand IT and infosec.

*bot net node, also they haven't replaced my lock yet

What's the concern here? Your condo complex probably has CCTV in the lobby anyway...

Even if the data is stolen is it really useful in any way?

Make a device that can open all the doors.

Install a robust hasp or chain on the inside

Will need the fob to gain entry to the chain
Then your key to open the chain

I would recommend a bowley lock if you want the highest security
Paclock, abus, or American locks if your an average cuck

OP seems to be more concerned with ((THEM)) knowing when he goes and returns even though it's apparent that he hasn't seen the light of day in ages.

>RF scraping hashes.
>Kike/Soccer mom property manger can lock you out of your own home if you have a payment dispute or other issue at a whim.
>Data can be mined from these things and sold (don't give me that bullshit that it's worthless, these people will do anything to recoup costs, unless it's protected in like POS retail with Sarbains Oxley or PCI data protection law then your data is open a like a escort whore.

(Yes maintenance has a spare key but they need to log it out with the doorman in the lobby) Also the same fob will be used to access all other amenities in the tower like the rooftop pool, gym or lounge so they must have some central access to it.

If only there was a bill that forced companies to protect your data and not sell it to third parties that can't protect it properly.

I'd be more worried about the property owners entering your place when you're out and cumming in your mayonnaise.

>>Kike/Soccer mom property manger can lock you out of your own home if you have a payment dispute or other issue at a whim.
That can't be legal, not even in the US
Ouch

Does it even record data?
Usually they install those for improved security and you should be happy.

>hey user, our data shows you never go out on the weekends and you never receive any guests.
>I'm afraid we have to terminate your rent because our rules clearly state incels aren't allowed.

>That can't be legal, not even in the US

It isn't in most States. It's one of the few things that carries criminal penalties, locking someone out of their leased home without a court eviction order.

You need a warrant to look into the video's.

So I cannot change the outside lock on my door as it's a violation of the condo association rules. I can put dead bolts on the inside but that still doesn't help because obviously that only secures the place when your inside.

Here what the fob looks like for the common rooms in the building like the pool, what they want to do is have the same fob open your apartment door.

I have no idea, and I'm not even sure the electronic apartment locks can communicate to the outside (there's no ethernet or means they are wired, for that matter I don't even know they are powered). I assume if they did it would probably be some low power adhoc spider web that way you can talk to the locks in one trunking chain throughout the building.

Maybe you could try drilling into your frontal lobe you faggot schizophrenic

If someone, was to use a Jammer to interfere with the FOB's, to the point of annoyance of the whole complex, they surely drop the idea, but that is illegal so don't do that OP.

I seriously doubt that will be the only lock.

More likely you will have a tradition lock in addition to the electronic lock.
Can't have the apartments either open or go on lockdown whenever there is a power cut and the internal battery is dead.

>HUEHE LOOK HE'S PARANOID OVER A INSECURE AND INVASIVE LOCK THAT BEING FORCEBLY SHOVED DOWN OUR THROATS! LET'S CALL HIM AN INCEL LIKE THE BRAIN DEAD SHEEP WE ARE.

Fucking kys faggot. It's complacent brainlets like you that allow shit like this to propagate. The same reason the credit rating bureau's got compromised which should've had pentagon level security, now I have to trust a property management company that doesn't even know the difference between a megabyte and TCIP with something as critical as my front door lock.

I just spoke to my bro of a maintenance guy and my worst fears are confirmed. They themselves have no idea how it works programming wise, it has an internal battery that is recharged with a USB 3.0 (oh boy) port that also serves as some kinda I/O buss likely so maintenance can open your door or management to fuck with your lock. Which brings up the question the maintenance guy brought up too and that is what happens if the power goes out.

I'm putting a no new lock sign over my door lock hopefully they will heed it.

This is what the RF locks look like for the common areas. Typical of access in a commercial building.

Why does the US actively cuck it's citizens? As far as data and renter/landowners rights go?

>buy gun
>when random condo association person lets them self in, confront them
they'll be too scared to enter next time, and if they call the cops say you thought it was a home invasion

Pretty much every door / gate access system sold has a log file (for auditing access / legal purposes). Log retention time varies, obviously.

Information logged typically includes Fob ID (or the UUID of whatever "token" used), User ID + access group (you assign X name to Y Fob ID and Z group), date + timestamp, which door circuit was used (relevant for a larger building complex), and whether or not access was allowed (if not, why).

OP, assume all of the above is logged, and absolutely assume that none of the dumb fucks who manage your condo complex have any idea how to run the system or secure it. They'll hire a contractor to install it and teach them how to do basic shit like add new users / replace fobs. Beyond that I wouldn't expect much.

Most of these system are also capable of being managed over a network so that you can access a web administration GUI. You are indeed trusting them with whatever malware-ridden network the condo management office is run on.

if its rfid then you should be more concerned about someone duplicating your keycard.

>if you want to keep your stuff
>use pin tumbler locks

If you have a community determining this, you could get an rfid scanner/cloner, call a meeting, ask for someone's fob, copy it and show how you can get in anywhere, and tell them that you work with secure data and that this level of safety is unacceptable for you, and likely for them.

>he lives in a kike shithole where he doesn't even own his front door
why haven't you moved yet OP

Because I live here? As in I can't move easily dingus.

>calling the cops on somewhen when you break into their house
What bizzaro world do you live in?

This is a good idea OP. Just demonstrate to the braindead management and neighbours how insecure that shit is so they don't switch the locks.

Most of these lock systems aren't IoT shit unless they are using some trendy new brand. However who ever controls the system can see when a door was opened and how long it was unlocked. You should be more worried about security honestly.
