Why haven't we replaced USB with these yet? The same data can travel through them at the same speeds

it breaks

Because you'll short out 1 amp of power everytime you plug it in or out, pluglet

What's the point of replacing if it only offers the same speed

Won't if volume is at zero.

it's an uninformed Jow Forumsentooman makes a stupid thread about some old thing he just read about episode

>The same data can travel through them at the same speeds
Isn't that an analog connector?...

If it becomes analog does it suddenly stop being data?

>2.5

>Relative to today's computers and transmission media, data is information converted into binary digital form.
Yes.

You'll have a hard time charging your phone, then.

Smaller form factor. He has a point.

might do same data as standard usb but not the later revisions of usb2 or 3 and it doesn't do power rail so you cant power external devices with it.

Found the stupid.

nice argument

USB breaks more.

so is USB connector, just so you know

...

holy shit this is stupid

whoops

USB-C has more pins.

Always apple with the innovation...

>USB-C has more pins.
Outgoing, but most USB-C have a USB-A head, 4pin.

I know some MP3 players used it for USB sometimes.

As does USB 3.0 A

Why the use of pins at all? Why can't we just transfer data via coaxial.

DELET THIS

USB 3.0 has more pins than 4 also. As USB-C includes USB 3.0.
You'll only get USB 2.0 speeds with 4 pins over USB 3.0.

We could, but the support circuitry would be far worse than USB to get the same speeds.
