Are you complaining about the literal same pics being posted (as in no changes), or just the actual concept here? I think the idea is that people keep posting their pics, and you can watch them grow over the years as they get new furniture and stuff. This isn't just a place to dumb cool-looking battlestations you found on the net. It's more personal than that. If we never saw repeats, I'd be much more bothered.

Opulent. It's pretty tasteful but still a bit much. Especially the lighting. If you removed a lot of the decorative elements the room would look a lot less tryhard. It's not tacky, per se, it's just… Too much.
This is clean and cute. I love your mousepad. Glass case and you can't even see it is dumb, but that cable management is really good. Not a fan of the router on the desk, clashes with the rest of your aesthetics. Overall almost perfect, though.
Clean your laptop on the left, it's got so many oil stains on it. The room looks too cluttered and cramped, too, especially with all that stuff like the plane basically hanging off the edge of whatever it's sitting on. The room gives me anxiety to look at.

That's pretty much my only complaint about the XPS 15, it collects/shows grease far too easily - even with my OCD levels of handwashing & cleaning it at least weekly.

Maybe take a look through but tl;dr don't bother trying to build something yourself for that, it's just not worth it - off the shelf solutions will end up costing no more (often less) & the functionality/usability will be infinitely better.

Fair enough, and cool hobby, not criticizing that. Just offering my critique on the aesthetics. It's possible to have much cleaner workspaces, though; lots of DIY construction/woodworking enthusiasts have beautiful spaces with wall mounts for tools, long desks with appropriate spacing to work, and whatnot. This may work better for you and that's okay. It's just ugly.

very aesthetic table. the true nomad lifestyle is throwing your table-desk out when you move and ordering a new one from Ikea for $20, and shipping it to your new place for you. then you just take two suitcases and an uber when you leave: one for clothes, one for your futon mattress that you just fold up and stick inside.

As much as I don't like to say it, this is the only respectable battle station, has mid-century modern theme going on, everything laid out with intent and purpose, composition of all the pieces in that room flows. More people should learn how to stage a room like this.
