It has the same specs as my 2014 MacBook Pro, except 2 more cores at a lower GHz and the addition of a faggoty touch bar.

Adjusts white balance of display to match surroundings using probably the camera. The iPhone X has it and it works surprisingly well to make the display colors look correct. Without it, displays tend to be too blue unless you're outside.

I doubt it. The CPU has an extra 2 cores and 4 threads, boosts a lot higher and the GPU is probably 2-3x faster than yours.

Regardless, I'll probably just swap to an imac for home and possibly get an ipad for daily out of doors use. I can get a maxed 21.5 for the same price as one of these shitty new Pros and the specs are far more suited to my needs since building a Hackintosh is out of the question.

the SMC constantly broke on the old touch bar macs but at least it could be replaced. With the new "T2 controller" smc issues will either be fixed or alternatively they will still break but it will be impossible to fix now. My bets are on the second option.

Might get lucky with a new iMac at the next con thing but I doubt iMac Pro is going to be getting an update any time soon. Mac pro might get an update since they've been going on about a new modular version.

Fortnite is such a bad example, it's one of the best optimized games around. Toasters can play it.
