microsoft would be stupid to cut off w7 support in 2020. the primary reason for this was the changes to licensing in server 2016, which a lot of organizations wouldn't be able to afford if they just straight updated to w10 and kept their current infrastructure (like every back up image requiring it's own license of serv2016) so they will stick to w7.
