So Jow Forums I'm gonna buy an old phone and I need your recommendations to try and see how long I can last without the botnet. The only requirement I have is that I just want it to be thin.
I have stopped at the c902 or W890i. The point is that I don't remember most models back then.

most networks won't support edge or 3g within the next year..so good luck.

I had the regular W890 back in the day, I remember it being really thin.
It was so thin that I bent it by accident.
Still a very cool phone though, it survived my year of conscription as my main entertainment device.
This was in 2007.

Nokia 5310
The GOAT

I'm in the Balkan so that's no problem for me
Grew up with a 5220. That and the 5310 were legendary

Loved this phone.

Unfortunately I died in the 90's of brain cancer but I looked good on the phone when I was alive.

You shouldn't have a cell phone at all if your intent is to go without the botnet. Every cell phone can be used to track your location, and almost all of them can be turned into remote listening devices

Sorry, it was the W880

Nokia 107 2017, no bt, no WiFi, no cameras. Absolutely amazing. You can order it from eBay for around $30 in EU. However, this if you're worried about government spying then order Librem 5 and don't use SIM cards.

Not worried, just wanna see if I will go insane without a smartphone, plus I loved the many man different phones 10 years ago

Bump for interest

Tell me about death, is it extremely painful?

>thinks phone networks aren't part of the botnet.

your location can be still be traced, calls and messages are logged and can be accessed with surprisingly little authority.

it's sad boomer paranoia that created the fear of the botnet.

if you want to reap the benefits of a society, then you have to work by its rules, surveillance is done to protect the general population, there's a reason no ones breaking down your door, stealing your shit.

pic related in a way.

Damn that sexy phone was worth it mind.

>Nokia
Beware of the new Nokia "feature" phones.
Some like the 150 are chink crap without bluetooth hands free profile.
Even the older M$-made phones like the 216 are botnetted as fuck and they "register" when first connected, not to mention they come with the facebook app which can't be uninstalled.

> being this americuck

Asha 303. A little bit old, but it's 3.5G.

One of the last true Nokias before they went shit.

>white-label Mediakek CPU
>who knows what kind of firmware
>Foxconn and some other obscure Chinese company are involved
These aren’t deal-breakers but it could be better.

This phone looks awesome. Does anyone know if it's any good?

Metro PCS does, the only thing is I'm not entirely sure that you'd be able to install new software because the phones are so old that every other search if android based instead of GSM

source I just bought a Blu Tank II that works great

I still have my old 303. It's very comfy if you don't have fat hands.

It's slimmer than a Nokia C3 or a BB Bold
> And not as t h i c c as these ones too

I miss em so much

Might actually get this one, thanks
Impressed that the thread survived through the night

Only the 8810 4G runs KaiOS. All the others run '''''''''Nokia''''''''’s own firmware.

This. I have one as my backup, still works like a charm.

You're a big guy.
