So they're just copying Firefox now?

So they're just copying Firefox now?

literally Firefox

Attached: 4-1.jpg (746x559, 75K)

Is this what bothers you about Chrome? That it's aesthetically similar to Firefox?

Except for that whole botnet thing.

>oh noooeeessss!
>it doesn't look like shit anymore and tabs won't act retarded!

How long does it usually take something like this to make it into the standard release of chrome from the Canary release?

Long-time FF user here, why do tabs act retarded on Chrome?

It wouldn't be that bad if it wasn't for the wasted space.

IS THIS A FUCKING JOKE? JESUS CHRIST IT LOOKS SO GAY AND REATRDED

chrome is for fags anyways no one cares

lame. Literally just uninstalled Chromium because of this gay shit and Chrome is the best browser for all the work shit that I do

Way to overreact, soiboi.

the goys know shit it down

Except that Firefox now has a good looking UI.

Looks nice, I don't see the problem.

So you installed a botnet, and your complain is that it's similar to Firefox?

When will this meme die? Hasn't it been long enough? If I had access to a time machine for as many uses as I wanted, once I did all of the fun stuff I would want to do, somewhere near the top of my "other stuff that isn't really important, but I might as well because I have a fucking time machine" list would be to go back in time to before the botnet meme, get a mod position where I can see the IP of the first person to start that shit, use the time machine again to get a job at their ISP and work my way to a position where I can access their account info, then use my time machine to be in their room just before they click post and disconnect their modem, and smack them upside the head and say "NO! BAD!"

>more padding
>more wasted space
>less efficient design
seems about right, stick it in the trash with the others that do this like windows 10

Thank you, someone’s finally fucking expressed this notion.

>less efficient design

>When will this meme die
It's not really a meme considering the proprietary chrome updater can silently download and execute any arbitrary code, like when they silently added a "malicious scan" tool that scans and uploads a list of your installed software anytime the computer is idle.

Like 3 or 4 months, but they put new tabs in like 2 months ago

>chrome
>best browser
LMAO

No fucking way. Jesus, this company is pozzed beyond repair

From a performance standpoint it is by far the best, and I despise Google

looks alright

When will chromefags learn that you can configure browsers

Attached: Canary-chrome-flag-old-gui.png (1050x850, 122K)

Probably means this

Attached: 2018-07-14 14_56_13-google - Google Search.png (1226x44, 13K)

They've taken away flags in the past

>yfw when the only people who use FF are pedophiles

And they'll eventually probably do it, knowing google, without good reason like apple. But there's still the option to have the old GUI while you migrate to something else

You might aswell call that a tablerone.

Good to know, thanks user

>So they're just copying Firefox now?
Have they ever not been?

Yeah, during the least 5 years when firefox was copying them.

It says right in that text that "material" design is an "upcoming UI feature", which means that pretty soon that's gonna be your only option. Despite the fact that material design looks like ass.

Cry moar Aerofag

I fucking hate material design 2.0 or whatever it's called

I could care less, in the sense that I care so little that it goes all around the other dimension of space so that I don't give a fhck

I LOVE IT

Aero was just as shitty, as was Luna. We need to go back to Win95 or CDE styling.

lol get a load of this nerd

Safari is the best browser for daily use in 2018. It already has extensions like reverse image search from the context menu, tampermonkey, ublock origin, stylish, etc.

Attached: selection.png (2232x1940, 1.4M)

How silly is it that chrome went down the rabbit hole.

>open too many tabs of porn
>new tabs now stuck offscreen, have to pull/close tabs just to access them

Ugly wasted space in the top bar

What's wasted there?

>I could care less
Opinion IMMEDIATELY discarded.

>all those chrome shills mad when firefox made sane tabs default swore they switched in spite

>they just got btfo when chrome becomes a foxclone

HAAAAH
Fucking karma.

Chrome UI and UX is still absolute dogshit and none of the forks are any better.

>stylish
>tampermonkey
So a shitty userscript manager and a literal botnet? Nice one there lad.

Who cares, use Vivaldi instead of a normie browser

>no aero design option

Aero wont even be on supported systems in 2 years

Yes it will. I can name 2 (two) pieces of software that don't support Aero, one of them being Vivaldi.

Because they don't use the native microshaft gui. None of those programs have aero on 10

But user, everything I don't like is a botnet! And if I have to change my definition of a botnet 16 times a day that doesn't change a thing.

>what are click targets

So? Its still something I want.

lel

Attached: file.png (1280x696, 81K)

Checked.
Quads say overreacting soiboi.

absolutely fucking based

Attached: 1522951030287.png (532x582, 514K)

Literally doing all of that right now in FF.

t. Google shills

t. nigger

Attached: 1524130986877.gif (250x190, 1.98M)

I keep trying to switch to Safari because it gets ridiculously better battery life than Chrome on macOS, but it keeps hanging/freezing on me. Do you experience that at all? The only extensions I have running are uBlock Origin, PiPer, and Tampermonkey (for anti-ad-block-block).

This applies to any closed source software

I've never had problems with it freezing. Try seeing if it's either anti-ad-block-block or PiPer.

I wish they never dropped gtk 2.0

I don't know why GTK3 needed to exist at all. Or why they're now preparing for GTK4. Has this accomplished anything except pointless churn and breaking peoples' themes?

So first firefox copies chrome and now chrome is copying firefox. How would the coping go next?

Attached: 1529356152730.png (741x568, 43K)

>memefox copies botnet
>botnet copies memefox
ITS THE CIRCLE OF LIFE

Wait, are they finally fixing this shit? It's literally the only reason I've been using Firefox.

This is what I want back.

Attached: Screenshot from 2017-07-17 18-43-41.png (831x348, 103K)

this reads like reddit

summer

>eats 1 gig of ram with 2 tabs open

Attached: da-thumbs-up.png (532x582, 514K)

Configure me the ability to go to the previous website/location with the backspace button.

I was hoping that we were done with that awful pill design that Apple popularized.

wait does this mean chrome finally gets scrollable tabs? how to enable?

Attached: Screenshot.png (1702x1052, 210K)

Firefox and Chrome has been stealing shit from each other since day 1.

It's much worse with Firefox since they axed everything that made it good in order to appeal to the Chrome users more. As a result, even power users have to use Chrome now, since Firefox eats shit.

If it had an RSS reader and an ability to customize the UI fonts, I'd be using MS Edge at this point since I'm so fucking tired of both Chrome and Firefox.

Based Edge still looks good and professional.

Holy fuck just use the like/favourite features and maybe save them onto your hard drive. Nobody needs that many Pixiv tabs open at once.
I use Firefox anyways but that's just fucking ridiculous.

Is that the new design or did you just use flags? If flags, which ones?

millenial graphic artists all skipped the lesson on contrast.

>horrible user interface doesn't matter because you shouldn't be using it anyway
>just keep one tab and close everything else like I do, in fact why do we even have tabs
I'm not him but stop the fucking fanboy defending. Chrome tabs are shit and people are right to be interested if they finally fixed that abomination. I've personally closed a lot of tabs I don't need and I still have 22 tabs left. If I would use Chrome they would provide zero info about the tab content.

>I use Firefox anyways but that's just fucking ridiculous.
Literally retarded

Chrome is for things that require flash.
Older versions of firefox is for everything else.
That dream browser that updates for security issues and new functionality and makes all UI changes optional; that remains the dream forever. But only because we're all too fucking lazy to make it ourselves.

they always have been copying firefox.. what do you mean?
all their hotkeys, layout, etc were copied from day 1

If you would have a working brain you could have read the thread before drooling over it. There are posts like here that only strengthen my point. You could easily be one of those people who think like this guy. Just because you said you use Firefox proves nothing. Now go cry in the corner and think about your life choices, brainlet.

I don't fucking understand the low contrast idea that's so popular

In an age of everybody needing glasses from staring too hard at fucking phone screens and computer displays shouldn't we be making them EASIER to see?

At least all white makes some kind of sense because you should be turning down brightness anyways, but why the fuck can't text be pure black and white anymore

>he actually thinks I care that much about his post
Just accept you're a retard and move on. Chrome tabs are shit, but that doesn't change that his use case didn't make much sense.
And no, I use Firefox because I like freedom.

user, all we have established so far is that (You) are a retard. I haven't been wrong yet. People aren't using the tab feature wrong by having multiple tabs, that's exactly what it's meant for and why browsers are capable of using a lot of resources now (if needed). Otherwise they would be designed totally differently.

>makes all UI changes optional; that remains the dream forever. But only because we're all too fucking lazy to make it ourselves.
you'd have a problem attracting devs is the thing. Security and maintenance is dull, fucking with the UI is interesting. That's why you see project after project after project that hates LTS releases and tells people to just run the latest version, and constantly adds new little frills and features and bells and whistles. Devs are, as a group, incredibly novelty seeking and flighty.

____ socially engineering the oblivious and naive FOSS community into pursuing further fragmentation and inefficiency.

Faggot, the point is that it's mostly Pixiv, but it's clear that (You) aren't very familiar with it, so kindly fuck off. There's no reason not to just "like"/"favorite" the post or even just put it in your favorites in Chrome when you have that many open.

I'll never understand how any dev finds anything involving UI fun.

I had 60 pixiv tabs open a month or two ago because they were all things I planned to fap to while saving. I'm not going to save them until I fap to them user.
The notion that you believe tabs don't also serve as a backlog for things you mean to get to but don't believe are worthy of bookmarking for any number of reasons including effort, is laughable.

hope google likes mozilla's sloppy seconds. curved tabs belong in 2012

Still not fucking getting it. It's not about tabs in general, it's about that many fucking Pixiv tabs.
>bookmarking is hard
Wow, pressing Ctrl and D together must be so difficult.
>any number of reasons
Then fucking like it to come back to it later! Jesus, if you need it to be in your plain sight to want to fap to it, it's just not worth it.
