DEs are for fags.
herbstluftwm if you like manual tilers.
xmonad if you like dynamic tilers.
ratpoison or something if you like floating.

cinnamon if you want fancy
xfce if you want stable
mate if you want gnome2

or just look some youtube videos and see what appeals the most to you because they basically do all the same

Thanks for the advice. According to them, Cinnamon is the most popular. Is it closer to Windows or something?

never tried cinnamon but a lot of people say it feels like win10

>installing a DE

Real men use CLI

Get the Xfce version.

KDE is comfy but if runs like ass then go with a tiling manager like i3

if under 4GiB then xfce. if you want it to look pretty later you can just get some icons and some themes

I'm assuming you want a DE that actually works so you should go for Xfce

If you are going mint cinnamon go 18.3...

I got the 19 beta and the cinnamon icons are FUCKING HORRIFIC

If you have your heart set on mint then cinnamon.

I second this

go LMDE retard OP

kde neon if you dont really care and want something that just werks
bodhi linux with moksha de (e17)
q4os with TDE (kde 3)
sway (i3 for wayland)
enlightenment on wayland (need to compile from trunk instead of dated repos)
lxqt+kwin if youre desperately clinging to xfce even though old gtk themes are kill and gtk4 is shaping up to be even more of a fustercluck than gtk3
mate is still good, but its getting steadily shittier.
cinnamon is an abomination.

mxlinux 17 or devuan for brainlets terrified of systemd

any particular reason?

More importantly, how do you steal nudes from an Android or iOS phone?

Windows 8.1 with Classic Shell.

Cinnamon was pretty much made for it

Cinnamon since Linux Mint is build around it
