I'm an oldfag so I used to go on YTMND. I don't think the word 'meme' even existed yet so when something caught on it was called a fad. One of my sites caught on and became a fad (I don't even wanna say what it was because you can semi-trace back my identity from my old username). There was probably well over 200 sites based off my original one.
Anyway, it was cool to watch something you came up with grow in popularity like that, but it's not like I got any recognition whatsoever.
