It'd be interesting to see if all of this still holds true after GDPR.

You don't "disable" "Allow Telemetry." You have to enable it and set it to the lowest possible setting, which is security on LTSB/Enterprise/Education. Looking at Wireshark with Security on, I never see any Microsoft connections. Also, hosts has never worked for blocking m$ IPs. This isn't exclusive to 10.

ALL OF THEM.

also, use blackbird and tinywall.

proof or gtfo.

Also this if you want to play old games (from /VG/) :
>KB2670838 breaks your DX10/11 games

All updates past sp1.
Just install sp1 and crt update, disable the client for microsoft networks (smb) and you're good.

Hmm, no. I have it installed and never faced any issues.

Install LongHorn instead, or CentOS.

you should stay away from windows altogether

There's some 100MB Linux though (not memory used, whole system). W7 is way bigger.

Run this.

install size isn't any indicator of quality imo

Any released in 2016 or later

Update a vanilla Windows 7 Pro SP1 ISO install.wim with this:

and you're good to go, no bad/useless/shitty updates ever.
