debian stable lxde set up like classic gnome is the patrician's choice. i have 3 computers set up the exact same way, lol. i've begun using the raise on mouse-over recently, too. it takes some getting used to but it feels great once you get the hang of it. i probably have over 30 hotkeys at this point to select windows and run terminals with specific commands.

I have a perfectly working laptop running Debian Xfce. I could install Gentoo and i3 or Openbox. I know in my head that I won't gain anything of significance by it, maybe 50MB of RAM, big deal. And I'll be causing myself all sorts of trouble, a bunch of shit that just werks right now I'll have to put back together again. So why the hell do I still feel the urge to do it?
