Tfw making 70K straight out of college

>tfw making 70K straight out of college
>in a Midwest town with low living expenses
It's probably not as much as some of you chads on here, but it's nice to know I'll never be financially uncomfortable again.

nobody cares

I care.

Congrats user. I know the feeling. If you don't fuck up it'll only go up too.

>live in Canada
>there are no towns or regions like that
>everywhere is insanely expensive AND jobless
>immigration is basically impossible everywhere

Good for you, OP. Doesn't really warrant its own thread though.

Math PhD?

> tfw that was me 3 years ago
> realize this small city fucking sucks
> realize my job fucking sucks
> no room for career growth
> no other places to work around here
> moving to the city would mean taking a huge paycut because salary is the same but cost of living is higher
and this is how you become a wagecuck

field?

Only 70k for being your boss' little bitch? Bad deal, fag.

what the fuck does this have to do with /g

>only out of college i could get was 38k
>a year later i just signed an offer for 75k

d..did i do good?

As opposed to getting 12k a year for being the governent's little bitch, right user?

What job(field)? What was your degree?

This guy CS. The new job is data analyst. Lot of SQL and C#/VB.net

>tfw making 90k straight out of college
>geologist
>getting flown out to do field work in the Rockies and the Bahamas later this year

man, US salaries are ridiculous

what is the usual expendable amount US-based developers get?

here in poortugal, I started at a 7.5k€ salary a year, a year later got to 12k€, another year and I'm at 18k€.

A friend left for the uk and jumped from 20k€ to 48k£, which is roughly 53k€.

I have really cheap rent for Lisbon at 170€/mo for my room but... should I be leaving these cheapskates?

>Geologist
>getting paid
Make a more beleivable lie plz

I know that feel OP.
>4 year graduate from state college
>2 years of that was community college
>no debt
>became "Redhat guy" in a large pharmaceutical in midwest
>Enough money to colllect guns and shoot every weekend.

heh...
wagie.

I don't think they report their actual income minus taxes, when OP says 70k starting its probably only around 55k that makes it into his pocket depending on where he lives. That's still a decent income though.

>have to work a job to pay for living expenses
>never be financially uncomfortable

False

300k starting ez

Nice.
>90k straight out of college
>South
I could do better, but my bargaining skills aren't all that great.

Read Jacob Fisker’s blog and you could retire within 5 years or so if you want to. Or at least have fuck you money to the degree that you only work voluntarily.

yes goy, you need to live in a coastal city to truly enjoy all the human experience has to offer

I really am glad that people keep getting memed like this, it means I can live like a kang forever in flyoverville and there's no chance to ever get gentrified by californians and have everything turned upside down. meanwhile in austin not too far away...

Only advice to you is not to get married and risk it all.

>parents are proud of me because I make twice as much as them
>tech costs like 1.5x more than in usa because of eu tax
goddammit eastern eu sucks

Ukraine?

no
hungary

At least your country is comfy

Salary and wages really reflects on your cost of living. Live and work in a large city like Chicago or NYC, LA your salary can go up 20-40K easy. But your cost of living goes up significantly with it. Taxes do play a large part too, and the higher your salary goes, so do you in the tax bracket.

what makes it comfy?

I'm about to start a $73k/yr job (also in midwest), I can't wait. No degree/college Software Engineer

what kind of tech jobs are in the midwest?

>tfw under 30, making 6 figures, no Bachelors degree, and living in the midwest.
>Absolute_cozy.jpg

Yeah summerfag go into community college cs expecting a 300k starting salary

Remote ones, Contracting for SMB, or mid-sized businesses, also universities.
There are also some startup hubs around some parts of the midwest.
The big bucks are mostly from remote work for Cali based firms that haven't figured out or don't care how much less they can pay us here.

>ha ha ha!!
>while you )))globalist ((( fucks enjoy world class museums, excellent gourmet resraurants and overall rich, diverse culture and upward mobility opportunities
>i get to sit back and enjoy my 55min round trip to all the wal-marts and 711s in 10k 60+ hick-town
WTF i love the boonies now

highest porn star per capita ratio

and still a khv
what's your point

I made the same amount at my first job and I didn't even go to college since I taught myself. Feels good to have will power.

You're still a piece of shit human who has trouble getting laid.
