The travel time also allows your brain to activate the secondary mode of thinking where you work on problems in the back of your brain subconsciously and start work again refreshed and prepared to put those new ideas into use

you have less distractions like a desktop PC, netflix TV, Videogame consoles, a comfy bed, porn, and don't need to prepare everything yourself
