Original IBM buckling faggot here, I've been typing on this heavy battleship since forever, is there any reason for me to buy topre or cherry shit? I tried some other faglords red/blue tester, but those feel like cheap-ass garbage compared to bucklings. Are all cherry keys that shit or is it just those two?

Based Model F faggot here. If you've got a non capacitive buckling springs board, you should get a capacitive. They're fucking great. Outside of Cherry switches I would recommend getting a board with Alps switches in good condition, Alps feel and sound better than Cherry switches by miles.

I prefer tactile switches, linears just feel too much like rubber domes to me and for tactiles there are too many different ones depending on what kind of tactile feedback you like to just recommend one

Wrist rests cause more harm then good, ideally you should hover your hands over the keyboard, and rest your arms on an arm rest.

If you wrest your wrists on something while typing you're just putting pressure on the carpal tunnel. So if you want to give yourself CTS sooner, type while using a wrist rest.

Anyone with EC switches tell me when I get a loud ringing after releasing a key? I've tried taking apart the board and readjusting the springs 3 or 4 times and it's not fixing the issue. In fact, there's more keys getting the ring.

Honestly I love my M but the layout of it and the F are shit for modern day computers. No super key is a deal breaker for me. I picked up a K95 RGB with mx browns for $4 at Goodwill, and I'm happy with it.
